I want to be Joe Grech.

What a game he has, but more importantly, in my book anyway, what a great bloke.

It has been my pleasure to be on Joe’s table on my last 3 outings and he has been responsible for my exit on two of those occasions.

I have watched him dominate and bully the table, mixing it up with any two cards when he had a big stack and the deck was hitting him in the face, and I’ve watched him scratch and scrape, sitting quietly nursing a short stack for hours when he couldn’t buy a hand.

I’ve seen him outdraw some poor unfortunate and take a little of the sting out of it with a sympathetic comment, and I’ve seen him accept being outdrawn with dignity and good grace.

If you make friends with Joe, (A really easy task) he will entertain and educate you, freely dispensing small pearls of wisdom and humour.

Joe plays poker the way it should be played, he will fight tooth and nail for every pot, but whichever way the chips fall, he will have a smile on his face.

Move up a bit poker hero's, make room for one more.

I've heard that before about Joe Grech. always seems to be spoken about in glowing terms. Get him online I say

luckily, ive only met 1 cheeky guy at the table. the rest appear to be good people with a willingness to offer some advice or say well done. what makes some people so rude. politeness costs nothing

it was either turkish or greek and was at the riverboat in Glasgow. Kept calling me Medusa and was generally loud..lol he did however buy me 2 glasses of red wine so he was a gent but just a devil at the table

Have to agree about Joe, top bloke!

He does come across as a really nice guy on the tele and if I make it to a main event one day, he is definatly someone that I'd like on my table

Joe is someone I have played with a fair bit. Not only an excellent player but someone who was free with advice to me on several occasions. To be fair though, I would rather he wasn't on the table I'm at!

I once played in a cash game at the Vic with Joe, he called every raise for about 30 mins and did a running commentary thoughout the hand. He was a joy to share a table with and in the end he hardly won a  hand but wished us all luck when his seat at the PLO table became available, leaving us with the line.

'Im going to take it out on these fish'

Just 30  mins at the table with him made my night.

I have to say I have always found Joe to be a lovely guy always pleasent, a real gentelman, a credit to poker players every where.


Wish there was more like him.

Joe is a terrible man... are you all mad? All he ever does is steal my chips and i for one am quite happy if i never play him again....  :D

Now the fella they call Tikay on the other hand, he's a true gent he freely distributes his chips to all and never stops smiling, he has a terrible habit of mis-reading his hand and likes to educate the youth of today with his fine selection of designer Jewellery. TOP MAN ;scarymoment; ;hide;
