Title: Is this well played and unlucky or a bad play...?
Post by: NoflopsHomer on February 19, 2006, 09:59:12 PM
Not by me, but the minimum re-raise by Help12. He was a bit of an "At-it" merchant, with a yoyo-ing stack, and had often min-reraised with marginals (so it seemed) just to be in control of a pot. Incidentally, Greggan says he folds KQ here.

defo just unlucky I think.  nobody is gonna have two pair on that flop... prob not 33 or 22 either, so he only has to worry about QQ, and he can't really worry about that too much.... the other guy hit his two-outer and game over.  All my chips are defo going in here with AA if I'm reraised.  The bet on flop was probably a bit big with no real draws there... that's the only thing I'd say...

Yes just unlucky.

The bet on the flop is a no no for me, I would be looking to check raise here.

All i will say is that the guy with AQ doesnt look like he was going anywhere anyway, so the result woulda been the same.

This is the reason I like playing live against "known players" , specially in tournaments. If I check raise here, it is obvious I have an overpair and should take the pot.

Yeah its much better when your oppo's dont put it all in with 2 outs on the flop..... :blonde:
