Title: Poker tournament software Post by: Gilbern74 on February 20, 2006, 02:22:11 PM Can anyone recommend 'the best' poker tournament software they have seen or used? Preferably cheap, (or free!) Would like something that can be customized (i.e. backgrounds, colours, fonts..) and takes care of everything - prixes, rebuys MTT... Title: Re: Poker tournament software Post by: swish on February 20, 2006, 02:42:35 PM I have used Wilson's Turbo Texas Hold'em and another of the Wilson programs - they look a bit dated - like something off one of those old BBC computers, but they have plenty settings that mean you can create most tournament situations you want to. Not pretty but a useful tool.

I assume you mean a tournament clock for use when running a live game? If so, then the best one out there is called The Tournament Director (http://www.thetournamentdirector.net/). It is free but the guy who programmed it takes donations if you use it and are happy with it. It's the best one I have tried that is free. I have NO idea what you are talking about ;D Title: Re: Poker tournament software Post by: swish on February 20, 2006, 03:08:57 PM I assume you mean a tournament clock for use when running a live game? D'oh! - just ignore me - thought you meant software to practice tournament play and run simulations on... ...I'll get me coat :) Title: Re: Poker tournament software Post by: yt on February 20, 2006, 03:10:42 PM It's very good software, Apart from da massive Cheeseypoker using it I also know that Jenningspokerschool (from harlow dogs fame) use it as well. A fine piece of software indeed.
Rather sadly I still use a version that was on a copy of "DD tournament poker" I brought before I knew any better. It's an "extra" included as part of the game. Its very basic but works. No doubt we will find out in good time.
