Title: Re: Blonde Bash Hotel Info and Poll Post by: Heid on February 21, 2006, 01:34:43 AM None, so far, sorry IFM.
Title: Re: Blonde Bash Hotel Info and Poll Post by: ifm on February 21, 2006, 01:36:45 AM Get DIK9 on the case.
Title: Re: Blonde Bash Hotel Info and Poll Post by: Heid on February 21, 2006, 01:38:40 AM LOL...I'd hazard a guess that Dik9 probs doesn't want to be associated with a card club, due to the utmost respect for his licence :)
Plus the fact that there is a small footy game in town that weekend, and they probably don't need to offer deals in order to fill up their hotel rooms.... seems to be a few posts about glasgow i suspect some very mouch tongue in cheek. But to illuminate for those that havent been - Glasgow is known as the Dear Green Place...mainly due to the amount of parks and green areas in the conurbation in all honesty Glasgow is no better and no worse than any other city...Generally you are perfectly safe if you do the usual big city stuff - dont wave 50 poun notes in the air walking down the street and dont wander down dark alleys shouting "i`m a tourist mug me". At night there are loads of great boozers and restauarants, about 5 casinos and karaoke bars of many persuasion. the people are friendly and will mostly try and help strangers - if anyone is stuck for lifts, info or just general help then i or any other of the scots lads will be delighted to help...on any subject. If anyone has a cultural bent and wishes to see a bit of the city then there is lots to see...it is worth it. As the CIS cup final is on that weekend with celtic and dunfermline the town will be busy with lots of irish coming over as well as the normal weekend tourists so there should be good Craic in the town and pubs..so enjoy it most of the city center pubs are fine and Cin Cin is 5 minutes safe walk from central station and an underground station(the underground is cheap , quick and safe) the only point i would make is in my humble opinion is to avoid the 2 pubs next to Cin Cin for a pint...the laurieston and the glaswegian i think. The only point i might make is a small one..with 150 odd folk coming to Cin Cin it may be heaving at the sides...would it be worth getting a boozer as a centre for meeting to take the strain off the club? to sum up be good to see you all and if anything can be made easier for you just ask. ;) Title: Re: Blonde Bash Hotel Info and Poll Post by: GlasgowBandit on February 22, 2006, 03:17:05 PM I would definately avoid the Glaswegian the Laurieston is fine.
Anyone wants to venture for a beer just stick with me I'm a aprt time alcoholic and will show you the best and worse pubs in Glasgow if you want. Title: Re: Blonde Bash Hotel Info and Poll Post by: allym on February 22, 2006, 11:11:13 PM Ironside you disappoint! Not in bed before footie fans get to the pubs but to the pubs and join the footie fans! Obviously a typo! As for good pubs ignore all the 1's in the city centre and head for the Islay Inn, The Park Bar and the Snaffle Bit aka 'The Triangle'! Now I'm in the mood for a wee sesh!
