Title: Champions League Football Post by: BOUM on February 21, 2006, 03:16:35 AM Anyone betting on the Champions League tis week ?
I've decided to go for a 4 team accumulater which pays out 19/1 with Ladbrokes. Real Madrid to beat Arsenal Bayern Munich to beat AC Milan Rangers to beat Villareal 7/4 Chelsea to beat Barcelona Title: Re: Champions League Football Post by: BOUM on February 21, 2006, 03:18:49 AM Real Madrid to beat Arsenal 4/7
Bayern Munich to beat AC Milan 6/5 Rangers to beat Villareal 7/4 Chelsea to beat Barcelona 11/10 Title: Re: Champions League Football Post by: Pombo on February 21, 2006, 09:22:46 AM I think Barcelona are a good away bet....Chelsea aren't in great form and although Barca suffered a blip recently they were amazing at the weekend. I think they were 3.2 on Skybet last night.
Title: Re: Champions League Football Post by: GlasgowBandit on February 21, 2006, 10:54:04 AM Bayern Munich v AC M... Ac Milan 2/1
Benfica v Liverpool:... Liverpool 11/8 PSV Eindhoven v Lyon... Lyon 7/4 Real Madrid v Arsena... Real Madrid 4/7 £10 acca for the night and a £2 Lucky 15 if all 4 come up its just under £600 return. If I hit a treble I should cover my bet. My main bet for the games are: Benfica v Liverpool:... Liverpool 11/8 PSV Eindhoven v Lyon... Lyon 7/4 Real Madrid v Arsena... Real Madrid 4/7 Chelsea v Barcelona:... Barcelona 9/4 Werder Bremen v Juve... Juventus 5/4 £25 acca. treble all 5 for a £5 and any 4 from 5 for a £5. Thats a £140 outlay and if I get no return then no more betting accept from poker for a few weeks. Title: Re: Champions League Football Post by: Pombo on February 21, 2006, 01:13:22 PM I like your 2nd acca GB....except think I'm going to swap Lyon for PSV. PSV are on a massive unbeaten run at home.
There's some big aways there that have a great chance of coming in. Good luck. Title: Re: Champions League Football Post by: Graham C on February 21, 2006, 02:53:14 PM I'm on

One of the lassies in works boyfried is an Arsenal fan. Anyway the boy leaves Glasgow this morning flies to Stanstead to catch a flight to Amsterdam where he is getting a connecting flight to Madrid. So we are sitting in work and about 5pm she gets a text message from her man, saying he has put his passport back in his bag and his bag has gone through baggage an been put on the plane, now they won't let him board poor **** is stuck in the dam the night with no hotel. What a tool though, imagine packing your passport in your bag knowing you need to show it to get through the customs gates. So he needs to weight til the flight arrives in Madrid his mate has to make sure that the bag goes bak to the Dam so he can try and get a flight in the morning to Madrid. Title: Re: Champions League Football Post by: GlasgowBandit on February 21, 2006, 03:51:04 PM Bet Fred won't give me any odds on Madrid -2 but PaddyPower will go 4/1!!
I actually think this is a very tasty bet and I am tempted. I have a few quid abck from Lady Orpen winning and also by laying Haadath. A result for High Expectations in the next at Sedgefield and I might just have a few quid on Real as a single. And fair play to the gooners they where absolutely brilliant. In particular Ljunberg, Hleb and Reyes. Was pleased for Freddy because he seems to have been struggling badly in the past few weeks, its apitty he still ain't managed a gola must be longest spell in his Arsenal career without a gaol the young lad in the middle of the park was immense also it must have been great for a Catalonian. Title: Re: Champions League Football Post by: Graham C on February 22, 2006, 08:06:20 AM Yup, Freddie and Fabrigas we're excellent. The whole team played well, makes a change. Hopefully it's the start of being good again.
Title: Re: Champions League Football Post by: NoflopsHomer on February 22, 2006, 04:36:59 PM I've gone for Chelsea, Juve and Inter as a treble, pays roughly 10-1.

Yup...as a Madrid and Spurs fan last night was not great....woeful is the word that springs to mind. Hats off to Arsenal though played the perfect away game against Madrid...9 behind the ball and hit them on the break. PSV Haven't lost at home since September 04 and knocked Lyon out last year. VERY brave prediction. Title: Re: Champions League Football Post by: Newportlad on February 22, 2006, 07:31:49 PM Lyon are the dark horses to win the tournament IMO

Pressure from the Barca players sways the ref in my opinion Title: Re: Champions League Football Post by: jbsc7769 on February 22, 2006, 08:47:01 PM Bad refereeing decisions? Forlans goal not off side... lol. I would love to hear how he is not interferring with play, 10 yards LITERALLY offside and scoring. "Phase two" my ass.
Title: Re: Champions League Football Post by: lazaroonie on February 22, 2006, 08:48:02 PM garbage.
The ball was 5 yards away. Del Horno has been on a mission for 40 minutes to take out messi, as soon as he realised that they young star was way too good for him. He tried to break his leg 5 minutes earlier. Title: Re: Champions League Football Post by: Nem on February 22, 2006, 08:54:46 PM IMO Del Horno should never have been sent off.

Villa who two perfectly good goals chopped off in anycase and where much the better team. As for Del Horno he had to go took the man out the game and had no intention of playing the ball. Oh and well am at it Andy Gray = Wanker!! If I have to listen to him say it was ball to hand one more time this season I'll go nuts, it doesn't matterw ether its ball to hand if you stick your hand in front of the fucking ball its deliberate! What a twat! |
