The Saturday night comp is being split into two flights due to the number of acceptances


The plan is as follows


3pm-6pm Flight One

6.30pm-9.30pm Flight Two

10pm Remaining runners form one field

elblondie will construct a suitable format with the aim of finishing the tournament on one night

This is where I need your help

We can't do a completely random draw as people may or may not be able to make the first flight depending on their travel arrangments.

So we need to know from you if you are able and would like to play the first flight.

If so, please post here (thread will be moved to live poker in due course)

Of course all those in the first flight will have SNG's, Heads Ups, cash action etc to amuse them in the early evening along with all the usual facilities eg bar.

Beer will be consumed from noon. I want to stand an outside chance of knowing what suits my hole cards are in the early stages so would prefer flight one. I live locally (probably localest) so it won't be a problem for me.

being an irish monkey i am flying up first thing on friday morning to ensure i get a full days worth of festivities in and will therefore be attending the regular friday night comp.

It also means that both myself and BigArmo will be available to play in either flight on the saturday.

Stick me down for the first flight as I should be able to drag myself out my kip for 3pm

If you go for the first flight it will give you an extra 3 hours to tell people your bad beat stories....

Myself, KerrBear and Troy McClure are all local so we are happy to play as part of flight one.  What I need to check is Kerr BEars shift that day its possible he might be workinga nd wouldn't finnish til 5pm I will post on this the morra.

Either for me,as I arrive on Monday 13th and leave on the 25th,so I should be able to get a wee kip before and after the event.

Having only just joined this forum having spent numerous hours at Tikays table in the 300 at Walsall, I will understand if I have "missed the boat" on this "Blonde Poker Bash". 
That said.  If there are any places left, please, put me down for whatever is available s`il vous plait.

flight arrives at 11.40 so should make it to the club in plenty of time for the 3pm slot

I have just realised. I am going to be in Aberdeen,for a wedding. A guy I went to school with is getting married and it is the weekend of the BB.. Sorry I will not be attending.

I will definately go to the next one though.

All have a good time.

I will be taking my LapTop with me. So,I will be able to keep up to date with all the winners and losers at the bash. Oh, and I need it to play poker with. I am a sad git that needs to play every day.

Thanks Tank, I am staying in a B+B along the road from the R.J.I.T building. I think it stands for the Robert Gordon Institute Of Technology.

I did a survival course for the oil rigs when I was 18. Didn't end up going offshore though.

I can't remember aberdeen well, all I do remember is that it is really cold.

Weefifi and myself can play in any of the flights.  need to be in the same flight though to save us fighting over who drives  ;)

I'll be having an internet free week, so I'll have to wait a week to catch up. By then it'll take me a week to catch up....

When I get around to booking flights and hotels the plan will be to in the area from Friday so we will be availalbe for the first tranche.

My flight gets in mid-afternoon ish so I'm probably safest in the 2nd flight.  Can't guarantee arrival in time for the 1st one.

The R.G.I.T is the place where they do the survival courses in Aberdeen for the oil rigs.

See here is the thing. I once knew a guy who played the bagpipes in a scottish pipe band.  I asked that exact question " will you not end up deaf playing those things".  He replied  " no, of course not laddy....the sound is directed out the way".


   It was my  :blonde:.  I didn't understand how that would protect his ears.  He had pretty sharp hearing, so it must be ok.
