Thanks to all Blondites for the tremendous response again this week. You guys are certainly keeping me busy which is FANTASTIC so please keep it up.

Just a few things to publicise.

1/ Blondite Jon Grice [MPOWER] has very kindly put up a dream of an auction prize for any motoring enthusiasts out there. We are pleased to announce that the prize is the use of a brand new MINI COOPER S for a long weekend (friday - monday). This top of the range cult car has to be picked up and returned to Nottingham and fully comprehensive insurance has to be arranged by the bidder for the weekend. What better way to spend a weekend than putting this superbly engieered machine through its paces on the country roads of this fair isle? I have been reliably informed that the MINI COOPER S is the most powerfull babe/hunk magnet in motoring today. Bidding will start on this thread and will be concluded at the charity launch on Saturday July 23rd. Do I hear our first bid?

2/ Another Blondite and all round good guy, Simon Cook [jbsc7769] has won a seat in the televised stages of Late Night Poker Aces which is due to be screened on Channel 4 in September. Simon did approach the promoters of the event to see if he could auction off his seat for Game for Life. They said NO! So what we have decided to do is sell off 50% of Simon in 50 one percent slices (Simon is putting up 50% of the cash prize). The first prize is 25,000 second prize is also 25,000!!! 1% of 25,000 is 250. So who for a bit of fun and interest in the event, to give moral support to Simon and to help Game for Life is prepared to stump up 7.50 per share? I will start things off by buying 2 slices - THAT LEAVES JUST 48 slices.

3/ I have been approached by a couple of Blondites who are playing in the BIG ONE at the WSOP asking if it's ok to pledge a percentage of themselves to P4C/Game for Life. The answer is a resounding YES. If you want to add your name to this thread that would be great. To kick things off I would like to confirm that the GREAT MAN himself El Blondie has pledged 1%. Go Go Blondie!!

4/ One man who is definetly going to be at the charity launch on Saturday 23rd July will be the current VCPoker Cup Champion and diamond geezer Harry 'The Wise Owl' Demetriou . Harry will be bringing a number of unique auction items with him direct from the U S of A however he has come up with a unique and exciting auction proposition. I think it's best described in his own words 'If it helps you can also auction an evening of poker with me if you think you can get anything for me where I can go around to someone's house and play with them for an evening and give them lessons or maybe a group of friends can meet up at somewhere like the Gutshot Club and I can give them an evening's poker tuition or something like that although it will have to be on a date when I am free. I'm probably not worth that much as a tutor but you never know there may be someone prepared to pay for my thoughts on poker'. I can tell you I think this is a great prize and Harry has a lot of value to pass on to any poker player - check out his results on the Hendon Mob database if you don't believe me. The bidding for this prize will once again be concluded at the launch party, however let's get it started on here - whats the first bid?

5/ ***STOP PRESS *** STOP PRESS *** Harry Demetriou WILL be playing the WPT 10000Euro event in Paris starting on Monday 25th July. Harry is prepared to auction 5% of himself in this event. A 5% share would be a buy-in of 500Euro - who will start the bidding?

I know this is tempting fate, and it will come back to haunt me BUT.... the cards seem to be running pretty well for me at the minute, winning quite a few tourneys / Sit n Go's. So, more people purchasing would be excellent for Poker4Charity!!

As there is not so long left and there are possibly people who have not read the thread, i just wanted to remind people about the items that are still available for auction. I would hate to win lots of money and not share it with you all!! If you havent bought any yet, they are very cheap, they accept Paypal, NETeller and various other method. If I can give up 50% of potential cash winnings, surely you can buy a couple of shares??? Sorry if this is classed as spamming! Still running well, just won the PokerStars Staff Invitational tourney for the month. Come on, put your hand in your pocket..........
Perhaps The Truth could update how many shares are left  / gone? Maybe even add the details to the "sticky "thread that stays at the top of the forum (if it isnt already)
