Title: What to do here? Post by: ACE2M on February 23, 2006, 10:32:39 AM NL cash game, i have about $2400, matey boy has around $3k.
Mateyboy is very tight/ semi aggressive and on the button when i am in the BB 2 limpers, mateyboy raises on the button 3 x the BB I have 9c Tc and expect the limpers to call, so i call and the limpers follow suit. Flop 9h Th Kd I bet out around half the pot 1 limper folds and the other min raises Mateyboy calls and so do i. turn is 3h I check Limper checks matey boy checks River is 9s I bet 2/3 the pot (about $600 with around $300 already invested) Limper calls (with around $600 back) Mateyboy moves all in eeeeeeeeeekkkk What to do? Title: Re: What to do here? Post by: yt on February 23, 2006, 11:44:29 AM If you took a zero off each bet I would still be upset at losing to K9......
u should fold but I guess this is conected to your "never play NL cash games again post"????? Title: Re: What to do here? Post by: Pombo on February 23, 2006, 12:01:28 PM If the guy is described as very tight then I'm more worried about KK or TT.....I'd probably discount the K9 and say you've got the 3rd best hand.
I call here...then I might cry a little....hopefully for joy though. It's a very tough lay down IMO. Title: Re: What to do here? Post by: jezza777 on February 23, 2006, 02:16:02 PM you have to call here I know you could well be behind but you wont find me laying down a house in a cash game ever.
Title: Re: What to do here? Post by: WellChief on February 23, 2006, 02:47:20 PM I think this is a fold, a tough one but still a fold. He's checked the turn behind you both as he fears one of you has made the flush and is hoping to fill up. Since he is very likely to be getting a call with his all in, he can't be making a move.
Got to be 10 10 or K K. Title: Re: What to do here? Post by: SupaMonkey on February 23, 2006, 02:57:14 PM Is it possible that mateyboy has A-Ko with the Ahrt and he's trying to buy the pot at the end.

Got to be 10 10 or K K. I folded, i think he gives it away on 4th street. He had KK and limper had QJ. I took the full time as i was well down already and a winning call gets me back to somewhere near normal. It hurt but he must have me beat and he rarely moves in without the goods. Title: Re: What to do here? Post by: Pombo on February 23, 2006, 04:48:50 PM Would he have gone all-in if he had KK?....or even TT for that matter.....I would have wanted a call form you here at least if that's what I was holding. Why push it all in with two others still in with the best hand?
Or am maybe I'm missing something here?....wouldn't surprise me ;) Title: Re: What to do here? Post by: ACE2M on February 23, 2006, 04:55:28 PM Think about the size of the pot and what i can be betting with and the limper calling with. He has a very good chance of getting all/most of his chips called.
