Title: Not a bad beat story
Post by: RED-DOG on February 24, 2006, 01:32:24 PM
A bad girl story

There were two girls on my table in the £500 double chance at Walsall last night, and they were my undoing

Girl number one, "Lisa?" on my right, and girl number two, Xuyen "Bad Girl" Pham on my left

3rd hand of the comp Lisa makes a pre flop raise of £500, blinds are 25/50 I look down to find
 Tc Th
I call, the flop comes

 Tc 2s Qh

It all goes in, Lisa shows
 Qs Qd
and I've lost my first stack

Shortly afterwards I raise to 300 with

 Aspades Qh
Xuyen calls, flop comes
 Ac 7d 7h
I raise for 750, Xuyen re-raises for 2000, I move in, Xuyen calls. On their backs, Xuyen shows
Ac Th, the turn is a blank, the river is a
 7c
Split pot

Next level, Xuan raises 400, I re raise 1500 with
 Kh Ks
Xuyen sets me in, I call, she shows
 Ad Kd
Two diamonds on the flop and one on the river= I get a much needed early night

Bad girl is great fun to play with (No pun intended) she has a lot of game and a wonderful, smiley, in your face personality

I hope she wins it!

That must've looked like a movie set... magnum sitting at the table, a girl on each arm....  what a great scene!

Yes.... Except that Xuyen wasn't on my immediate left, Womble was, not quite the same effect!

there was a massive hand on my table last night. both players flopped monsters and couldnt wait to get their money in.

one guy, who i know his face but not sure of his name, raises and gets one caller, a young lad.

flop is  9c 7s 7h.

check, check

the turn and river are irrelivant but i believe OR bets out on the turn and caller, calls

river all the chips go in after the original caller raises the original raiser and reraises all in and caller calls.

at this point the OR says i shouldve flat called youve got 4 sevens and he was right. the OR turned over  9d 9h.

how do you get away from that.

i know in the above post there is alot of raiser raising and caller calling and it sounds a bit odd but im not changing it now :D

So the Original raiser raised and got called and then back raised on the flop and there was more raising and reraising on the turn and the money all went in

The Original raiser clearly should have just flat called something at some point just to help us all understand wtf is going on in this hand!!!!  :D

Confused? join the club!

Mines not a bad beat either. All in preflop with
 Qc Ac

Called by chip leader with
 3d 7s

An ace came up, but so did a seven and a three. >:(

tight end i confused myself after writing and then reading it through. >:? >:?

anyhow the OR had 99 the caller had 77 the OR said he should just call with the 99 on the river as he felt the other guy might have 77

Don't know who you are trying to kid because they're all bad beats! Granted, might not be your own but nonetheless! They're all quite brutal too! Nothing wrong with bad beat stories though, good learning!

I just want to sneak thuis bad beat in while no one's looking. :D

Just back from the Rendevous at Brighton and really pleased with how it went up to a point. I went right through the whole rebuy period with no rebuys and took the add on and I was in a healthy position.
i few hands later the chip leader raises to 700 and I have
 Jh Jc
I go all in with 3400 and he hesitates as this was over half his chip stack and then calls with
 8c 8h
He is not too happy with his decision until
 4s  5d 6c
Turn
 2c
So out of 44 cards left, I think there are 6 cards that would win it for him and 38 that would win for me.
River
 7d

Sometimes it is just worth a quid. :D
Just played a stt and playing well and up to 2nd place.
Then I get
 6c 6h
Flop
 2d Js 6s
Turn
 2s
Full house and all in.
Called with
 Jd Td
Nice one, until
 Jh
I lose half my chips, but playing steady and I don't tilt.
A while later on big blind
 Kd 4d
Flop
 7d 2d Qc
I call a small raise
Turn
 9d
Superb a king high flush and I check
He goes all in and I call. He has two pair
 7h 9h
River
 9c
I am out.
