Title: THE most extraordinary Hand!
Post by: tikay on February 25, 2006, 01:55:38 PM
I saw this online last night.......

Shorty goes all in, gets action in two spots, R, RR, RRR, ALL the chips go in pre-flop, & it's on their backs.

Shorty has  Jc 6d

Matey Boy # 1 has  Aspades Ahrt

Matey Boy # 2 has  Ac Ad

The board came like this.....

 Jd

Can he hit two pairs to bust the TWO pairs of rockets?

 2c  3d  4s

And inevitably, ......

 5d

So BOTH pairs of Aces hit the wheel, & our short stacked Hero hit the top straight!

And PLEASE don't trot out the "online poker is rigged" yarn.

Poker really is a strange game though.

Have you ever seen any really weird hands? Post 'em here if you have. Preferably "Live" ones though, to avoid the conspiracy nutters having a field day.

There was that one at the Gala, tikay, when 5 people moved all-in with T-T, J-J, Q-Q, K-K, A-A...

... in that order!!

Here is a hand from the £500 d/c - some of you may recognise it. It was my exit hand :(

SB has  Ad Ts  - 9k in chips
BB has  5c 5d  -  14k in chips
Mid Pos has   Ahrt Ac  - 15.5k chips

Blinds 100 200.

Mid position raises to 600 - called by SB and BB

Flop  5h 8s 9s

BB bets 1000 - called by Initial raiser , SB folds

Turn  Th

BB bets 2000 - Initial raiser moves all in - called by BB

On their backs, BB has trip 5's . Initial raiser has pocket Aces

Only one card Initial raiser can win with, the case Ace

River??

Yep the  Aspades

Spookily, I actually dealt that hand sloppy, it was on Table Two.

And you missed the best bit - the board came

 Aspades

So any hope of anyone spiking their set was gone, & there were lots of oohs and arrs. Followed by.....

 2c  3d  5s

And there could only be one River....

 4h

5 way split!

Course, Live poker is rigged.

I saw QQ v KK v AA at The Sportsman down here in Laandon Town a few weeks ago..

All the money went in preflop but the players all decided not to show their hands.  Pot was about 4k

Flop brought a  Qc the turn brought a  Ks and the river brought....yup you guessed it an  Aspades

Mad as a badger!

New to the forum btw. Been lurking for months and thought it was about time I broke my cherry!  8)

ive got one from the carribean. it was a $500 freezeout and there is a maniac  to my left who has been raising all day.

im in the sb with him in the bb it gets folded round to me and i have K9 i decided to raise. i raised 4xbb only for maniac to put me all in. there is no way im moving off this i needed to double up and if i pass this i wont be able to get him off a hand again. so i call maniac turns over  7c 4c and hits 3 clubs on the flop, another on the turn and one more on the river for good measure with the  7c just playing.

any ideas on who the nutter is?? :blonde:

I observed a hand at the gala in notts - all in preflop.

Matey boy 1 flops a flush, leaving matey boy 2 all but dead - only outs would be runner runner to make a royal flush on the board.

I'm sure you can guess the turn and river  :D

In a comp at Gala Russell Sq a few years ago, two players are all in on the bubble

JJ v QQ

Flop JQx
turn J
River Q

Cue pandemonium...

Firstly  ;yellowcard; for the less than extraordianry bad beat hand on this thread. You know who you are, that hand may cost you many 50p's.  ;tk;

I saw a royal flush in hearts on the board once. Four handed on the river the action went...

Check
All-in (why not  :D )
Call
Call
30 second dwell then a fold!!!

He had decided that his 9h had been counterfeited by the Ahrt on the river and mucked!
:hello: Fred

Er, Hallo.

Isn't this type of fold now known as a John McCrirrick?

Isn't that the John McCririck hand against Moneymaker televised last year when there is the Broadway straight on the board and no flush possible?

I will remember the look on moneymaker's face when the racing one folded for a long time

Oh and Fred, venerable offspinner from Middlesex in the 1970s and 1980s missing several toes...Welcome to Blonde

(Gutshot Titmus the marvellous Alllan right?  :D)
