Title: FHM magazine, how to cheat? Post by: mex on February 27, 2006, 02:42:52 AM After all the posts about multi ids.............I thought this may be off interest.
Whilst browsing the magazine rack in local 24Hr garage i noticed FHM cover mentioned how to win bg at poker!! I thought it would be worth flicking through whilst queing. Now it was usual standard stuff. Play when americans are getting home from pub, use chat to tilt people etc Most interesting was this suggestion. Go to cash table and after winning a bit log off. Log on again with another account and look for same table. Keep doing this to take money away from table and not give them too much info on anyone id.Always have multi accounts at each site!!!!!! Now i know its not really what we have discussed here but it does stink a little. Also big problem i forsee is FHM has a sit linked to VC, where multi accounts are banned on same cage. Now what happens if a FHM player gets caught and banned "we'll the magazine said i should do it and it's FHM's site"....Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. This is atleast the second not so savory article i've seen in a lads magazine, (other i can't remember but basically said get 4 mates on 1 cash table) Now considering that sites give a large amount of revnue in advertising to these magazines aswell,are we going to see a large influx of online collusion and multi accounts on the bigger sites. Title: Re: FHM magazine, how to cheat? Post by: thetank on February 27, 2006, 06:41:44 AM In a serious article, advice is taken seriously, and it just goes to show that whoever wrote it is ill-informed or irresponsible. Either way, they are not qualified to speak of the subject matter. If I 78 or 14 years old, I'd write them a letter of complaint.
I used to read "Your Sinclair" magazine for my ZX Spectrum 48k. They continued to publish long after it became obvious that the spectrum was "on it's arse" As so few games were being released they had to fill their pages with O/T drivel (which I loved) One of their articles was on about "How to make a nuclear bomb". If I were to have built such a device according to their instructions, but then get caught, I'd probably have a similar leg to stand on than someone who was caught multi-accounting at the advice of a comic. FHM have some sort of disclaimer protecting them I'm sure. No wonder so many players are unsure that certain things in poker are against the rules, with mis-information being rampant in today's media. Title: Re: FHM magazine, how to cheat? Post by: Sark79 on February 27, 2006, 08:40:00 AM ZX Spectrum 48k. That takes me back to when I was a kid. Some of the games are still the best I have played. Leap Frog, Manic Miner, Jet Set Willy, ect. Brilliant.
Title: Re: FHM magazine, how to cheat? Post by: Nem on February 27, 2006, 08:54:02 AM Spectrum ZX 128 was great as well. All those football manager games that would take 3 hours to load... ;tk;

Title: Re: FHM magazine, how to cheat? Post by: thetank on February 27, 2006, 09:59:44 AM use chat to tilt people etc ..............Always have multi accounts at each site!!!!!! If there's one thing the internet needs, it's more obnoxious poker cheats. Well done FHM, we were running out of them. Title: Re: FHM magazine, how to cheat? Post by: AndrewT on February 27, 2006, 11:11:02 AM Ah, Your Sinclair. Best Magazine Ever.
The final issues were absolute classics as everyone connected with it knew that the end was nigh, and so just 'mucked about', which made for great reading. You can download an emulator which enable you to play Speccy games on your PC - http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Bay/9932/ (http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Bay/9932/) - then download loads of games to play - http://www.cclassic.szu.pl/files/ZxSpectrum/Games/Games/ (http://www.cclassic.szu.pl/files/ZxSpectrum/Games/Games/) Title: Re: FHM magazine, how to cheat? Post by: HarlemShuffle on February 27, 2006, 11:52:06 AM I wouldn’t worry too much about this article. If this is the first article that the reader has read on poker then they wont be skilled enough to pull it off. If they are skilled enough to pull it off then they already know enough about poker to understand the implications of cheating. Don’t think this article will make much difference either way.
Besides, I don’t think most of the readers of FHM are old enough to gamble. Title: Re: FHM magazine, how to cheat? I think the only shuffle most FHM readers are interested in is the five-knuckle shuffle :) Title: Re: FHM magazine, how to cheat? When they read Poker on the front cover of the magazine they probably thought they were talking about the cover girl. Title: Re: FHM magazine, how to cheat? Some of those games ate up alot of time when I was a kid. I can still remember the cheats for Dizzy Treasure Island....EGGSONLEGS and ICANFLY... I think they make Dizzy invincible and able to fly Title: Re: FHM magazine, how to cheat? Post by: Colchester Kev on February 28, 2006, 01:49:01 AM I still stick to my judgement that "Sensible soccer" for the commodore 64 was the best game ever.... closely followed by "cannon fodder" :)
Title: Re: FHM magazine, how to cheat? Post by: Bongo on February 28, 2006, 02:49:43 AM There's a new version of Sensi out for the world cup Kev.
Also there's a little box of tricks you can get that plugs into your TV and gives you classic Sensi as well as Cannon Fodder and the also great Mega Lo Mania Title: Re: FHM magazine, how to cheat? Post by: thetank on February 28, 2006, 02:52:05 AM Spectrums taught kids patience and awarded perseverence.
I despair when I see todays youth enjoying such features as saving their games and think of the potential consequences they might run into in later life with a conditioned dependancy on doing such a thing. If you forgot your aqualung in treasure island dizzy, you drowned and had to start all over again. Just like in real life (apart from the starting again bit) Title: Re: FHM magazine, how to cheat? Post by: Colchester Kev on February 28, 2006, 03:08:25 AM Bongo, where can i get the box of tricks ... I WANT ONE ... AND I WANT ONE NOWWW !!!

Title: Re: FHM magazine, how to cheat? Post by: thetank on February 28, 2006, 03:42:32 AM What is green, squashy and spends a lot of time underwater?
An avocado with scuba equipment. Why don't worms have balls? Because they can't dance. [attachment deleted by admin] Title: Re: FHM magazine, how to cheat? Post by: Jinky04 on February 28, 2006, 03:43:44 AM Eh, all Spectrum chat aside like, for any major publication, no matter what its major demographic, to suggest such blatant online cheating is fairly odious. I'm pure disgusted man.
P.S. tank, the save game is the best invention ever Title: Re: FHM magazine, how to cheat? Post by: thetank on February 28, 2006, 03:46:16 AM P.S. tank, the save game is the best invention ever Pah! Next you'll be telling me of the merits of the internal combustion engine and penecillin. I remain unconvinced. Title: Re: FHM magazine, how to cheat? Post by: Sark79 on February 28, 2006, 09:28:39 AM Sensible Soccer was a fine game. I had a friend who always ran along the goal line into the net. This always caused arguments because everyone considered this cheating. I loved the diving headers. There was a pub in Killie who ran a weekly competion for sensible soccer, but at the time I was too young.
Title: Re: FHM magazine, how to cheat? Post by: mex on February 28, 2006, 09:37:54 AM Save games are kkay if they are are at points set after major challenge. But having completed sabre wulf with out cheats in one sitting i became a legend. I still am yet to meet someone whohas finished it. Games today you tend to be walked through.
