Title: Signature hands, do you play them???
Post by: Newmanseye on February 27, 2006, 05:09:23 AM
Just cos I am nosey. I wanna know what signature hands you guys play, or would you only play them in certain positions, situations etc.

I know that I tend to play  7h  4s from any position for a steal, provided I think i have weak opponents. I also love to play Harry potter  Kh Jd when faces witrh a big raise, Only because I have  a lotta luck cracking aces with it.

so go on spill, I have.

I like to play  Kh Kd and  Qc Qs if I can get in cheap and see a flop.

I played 74s the other day because I was short stacked and hit a flush!

Not sure that I rely on things regulary though. KK or QQ I would play though - gotta be brave with these weak hands eh Tank!

J9 suited is a lucky hand for me. I'm over my addiction to 47.

 Ts 9s

really 10,9 suited, any suit

of course the past has no bearing on the future, a gambler's fallacy...but after some (for me) massive pots won with this suited connector, I get a tingle in my bones when I look down and see it....

I dont have any lucky hands, because there is no sucht thing as luck.

The appearance of luck is merely a disproportionate temporary skewing of probabilities.

Qd Kh, any suits is my personal favourite to raise with, I like it because if u r called and you miss it is easy to lay down but if the flop comes K or Q high then 8/9 out of 10 I will be in front.

It is also east to lay down to a re-raise pre-flop.

Ts 8s or  9d 7d are two of my favourite hands.
;iagree;

Also, a couple of my fave hands in NL HE ring games are  5s  6s  or  6h  7h (any suits will do), because every now and then the poker gods smile on me and give me a board like

 5c  Jh  4h  2d  3c

...and if there's an A-x still out there, I'm usually in clover.  :D

I must admit, I'm a follower of 47os, but you have to be a believer!!

3h 3s and  4c 4d are usually good to make trips with and with a flop like  Ks 4s Jd no one puts you on that hand so  Kh Jc would call etc!

For me it's Q,9 in any way, shape or form.

It's got me out of a few low stack situations on more occasions than it should do..

Qh 9h  - I won a really large pot one of the first live cash games i ever played in, now I tend to play it hard and it seems to pay off most times.
I have to admit though the first time I was very lucky with it!

I have always liked  Ahrt and  8h.  I am not sure why.  Sometimes it just seems that it is my destiny to win with this hand.

If I am short stacked and I need to get some chips. This hand will help me. When I am dealt it, I believe 100% that I have been chosen to win the pot.

If ten years from now, I win a WSOP event. I am sure this hand will play a factor in my victory.

i've made TWO royal flushes with  Jd Kd I'll still only play it if the situations right. any two cards can be played in the right situation but if I'm playing 7,4 or similar I'm not playing to hit, I'm playing to bluff. winning a pot with rags is only impressive if you haven't connected in any way with them

All depends on who's signature i happen to be forging at the time.

Usually with me i'm happy to play which ever two cards will enable me to win the pot........

Anyway getting back to the subject, I've got a terrible weakness for  Jh  Th suited or not - gets me in sooo much trouble, I really should learn...
