Title: Re: An Omaha hand Post by: ifm on March 01, 2006, 01:10:53 PM We obviously don't have many omaha experts........
As i say his play threw me a bit and i took a lot of my timebank to make my decision, flat call preflop and a checkraise on the flop means either a monster or nothing at all. The more i thought the more i convinced myself i was behind but my flush draw was good :) Maybe a bit fishy but i eventually called....... ifmcf: calls 4450 RANDYPLAYSAK said, "jc" *** TURN *** [3c Ks Ts] [7s] *** RIVER *** [3c Ks Ts 7s] [6c] *** SHOW DOWN *** RANDYPLAYSAK: shows [As Ac Kh Jd] (a pair of Aces) ifmcf: shows [5s 4s 4h 5h] (a flush, King high) ifmcf collected 18500 from pot *** SUMMARY *** Total pot 18500 | Rake 0 Board [3c Ks Ts 7s 6c] Seat 1: tc187 folded before Flop (didn't bet) Seat 3: ImmaToast folded before Flop (didn't bet) Seat 4: ifmcf showed [5s 4s 4h 5h] and won (18500) with a flush, King high Seat 5: CASHDIAMOND folded before Flop (didn't bet) Seat 6: laneythedog (button) folded before Flop (didn't bet) Seat 7: RANDYPLAYSAK (small blind) showed [As Ac Kh Jd] and lost with a pair of Aces Seat 8: LOLBARN (big blind) folded before Flop Seat 9: rosci folded before Flop (didn't bet) He was not impressed at all :D Title: Re: An Omaha hand Post by: DeiYuo on March 01, 2006, 08:44:37 PM Seems to me like Randy misplayed his hand and also got unlucky with the cards.
ifmcf attacks the blinds with 4c 4s 4h 5h gets checked to, flops a weak flush draw, so semi bluffs at it, gets raises but has to call as the pot is large in comparision with the amount to call. I think this is a mistake by Randy by not just re-raising pre flop with AA or betting out the flo with the hand. It is also a mistake on ifmcf's part by choosing to attacking the blinds with such a trap hand. As far as the hand went down as soon as ifmcf raise pre flop, played it perfect. DeiYuo |
