For everyone except the 6 finalists in the main event, today is the €1,000 double chance freezeout here in the Concord Card Club in Vienna. Lots of Brits playing so I will be doing my best to follow the action and report on proceedings. It is due to start at 5pm, but since the telivised final of the main eventis now almost 2 hours late in kicking off, I guess we may have a bit of a delay.

Tikay is a non-runner. He didn't get back to the hotel last night until 12.30pm this afternoon....so he's a little jaded.

His KQ on a KQ rag flop was good enough to put to bed mateyboy's KJ.

Scottish Tony G has streched even further ahead now. He gets into a raising war with pocket tens preflop. Finds himself up against pocket aces and rivers a ten!

Bad Girl is also on Matt Tyler's table.

Vladar is OUT. He held 2nd pair and an open ended straight, but Micky Wernick already had the straight. The flush he made on the river was salt in wounds.

Brain Wilson bullied with a pair of sixes, but the bloke with aces wouldn't put them down.

It came K-K-Q-4-4 and he's lost most of his first batch. Left with about 600 apparantly, but still has his 2nd rebuy to back him up.

Scottish Bob Mitchell, who was the chip leader with about 40k is out. This is how it happened.

He has AJ and the flop is AJT.

He bets, is reraised by his opponent who has about half his chips and goes all in.  He calls and finds out he is up against KQ.

Next hand, he gets 33 and limps. The same guy raises it 1,000.  Bob calls and the flop is A38. Bob bets, oppo goes all in. Bob calls and finds himself up against pocket eights. Set over set and its all over for Bob...

OUCH!

Right I've got to teach that uncle (Scottish Bob Mitchell) of mine a couple of things! He'll get an earful tomorrow! Please pass this on, actually dont bother chance of violence! Hows Tony Girasoli getting on now?

Mickey Wernick has just almost doubled his stack. He called a 1400 preflop raise against one opponent.

The flop was 3c Jh 4c. Mickey bet 7k. The other guy goes all in for small change more. Mickey calls.

Mikey Tse is now on 24k. They are about to restart. Apparently it was on the turn that the 9 hit.

Down to 15 now. Mateyboy's aces just got cracked by mateyboy's KJ, which made a straight. Serves him right for playing a hand against himself...actually I don't feel sorry for him as he bashed the table aggressively when he lost, which is never a graceful way to exit.

Mickey Wernick just got me good and proper. I approach the table to see him sittiing with just 2 yellow 1,000 chips and a stack of about 25 100s. I shrug, my face drops and as I'm mouthing to him "what happened?" he plonks down a stack of 20 or so more yellow 1,000s that he'd been hiding from me and bursts out laughing...nice one Mick!

Down to 11.  Mickey Wernick takes two players out on one hand, one of them being Micky Jones.

Matey boy goes all in for about 12k. Mickey beats him into the pot and Micky, the shortest stack of the three in the coup also calls.
