Title: Monte Carlo bid doesn't start well
Post by: doubleup on March 06, 2006, 10:31:12 PM
Take off at Heathrow delayed because an Air Jamaica plane decided to drive along the grass rather than the runway....

Screaming child sat right behind me

The locals speak French

Got to the hotel to find that there had been overbooking, so sleeping in the park...

Only kidding about the last bit, they put me up in the Hermitage which is prob a more expensive hotel for same rate, still I would rather be in the hotel where the tournament is.

I've now contracted cholera or the black death or something and can't go anywhere that hasn't got a toilet within 5 metres.

Tikay put me out of yesterdays comp, but should really have been out himself in this hand.

A well known british player raises 3 bbs utg.

3 players call including Tikay after a bit of faffing about.

The flop is

Ax Ks 7s

The utg bets about the pot.  Everyone folds to Tikay who reraises all-in.  His reraise doesn't put the utg out of the tourney but does damage him.  The reraise isn't a huge amount more than the pot.

After thinking for a while he folds and shows  Aspades Qs

Tikay shows AJ..............
