According to Rolf Slotbloom, its not good for Marcel to have lost that hand against Ross. Marcel was 100% focused on winning this and this may have downgraded it to 85%, which is the point at which people should start rubbing their hands together.

Thierry Cazals has moved in now, after becoming over the course of two hours, a short stack.  He's pushed on the button after it folded round to him, and there are two blinds to get past.  Interestingly, although they both fold, big blind Aleksander Strandli exposes one card before the small blind Ash could act.  He is given a rather severe ten minute penalty, and says "It's not like I am going to lose a lot of chips, it's just that it's a stupid rule.  But what can you do?"

And it has absolutely positively nothing whatsoever to do with me.

Yep, I'm gone from the €1000.

Probably my biggest event to date, but, with the €10,000 still going on, it really doesn't feel like it.

Wasn't my day, but I was happy with the way I played.

Tough table of youngsters, including Rory Matthews and Stu Fox, who was located two seats to my left.

I managed to break K-K with A-K early on to add a few extra chips to my stack, but took a bad beat about 20 mins l8er. Raised A-A preflop, called in bb by Matthews. Both checked queen high flop. He bet turn, I moved all-in, he called with Q-5 and rivered the 5.

That put me down to 2,500. Then I lost a 50-50 with a shortstack which took me down to 14,000.

After the break I had 2 hands to stick it in, with blinds at 200/400. Blinds went up to 300/600 when I was underthegun, so I chucked it in with Tc 3s.

Great timing as usual. I was up against Ac Ad and Ahrt Kd.

I checkraised all-in. Mateyboy, who had limped from seat 3, called with 8d 6d.

I put him on a smaller pocket pair. He'd raise with a bigger pair, so I thought I had him dominated. Not happy to see he had so many outs.

Bah. Win that and I'm up to over 10k.

A stupid rule?  What if by exposing the card the bb had made the sb realise that he was going to fold. The sb now knowing he is in no danger of being re-raised  decides he can safely call and the buton is knocked out? Would ten minutes seem harsh then?

Of course, I didn't see what happensed and it may well have been harsh in this case.

Ross Boatman has been eliminated!  In 6th place!  Winning €140,000!

I don't know why I am exclaiming, just because this final has been full of twists and speedy about-turns.

Ross moved all in preflop, and Ash calls - fairly quickly.

Th 6h was Ross' final hand- Ash had what looked like two Jacks - yes it's been confirmed.

9 A 3 4 4 the board, no help for the shortstacked Hendon Mobster, and he left the table right before the break, which is now

So we have the 19-year old with a pretty decent chip lead, but no one so short stacked that they have to move in.  But the blinds are increasing to 10k - 20k so you never know.

I just read about this hand in a Norwegian forum. What happened was that Aleksander flipped the card by accident.

I agree that may affect the actions from the smallblind. Question is if accidents should be punished.

I spoke with Ash and wished him gl from you all, he says thanks and seems confident that he can bring this home! He has a few friends here and they are offering great support.

Well...i dont agree with what Aleksander said that its a silly rule. However, im not so sure that an obvious mistake should be punished. Every situation should be evaluated. That said i didnt see it myself, so the penalty might be fair.

Play is about to restart - Ash was wondering about the money in the break... although they have been told that they have to play on for a sizeable difference for first, thus ensuring 'proper' play, when it gets to four-handed I'm heading towards certain that some kind of business will take place.

My favourite announcer Greg Raymer is back on the mic, announcing the 10k - 20k blinds, ante 2k.  Like I said before.  No harm confirming it though.

All right, first hand - raise to 60k by Marc, Jeff just straight pushes all-in for his mil-and-a-bit, prompting a pass, with Marc showing  6h 6s as he mucks it.  He gets a peek at the  Kc in return.

I might just add here that having been privileged to sit on one of those TV tables now, I have to say it feels really slow, especially when someone is announcing every pass, every dwell, every board card.  And don't underestimate the Needless Dwell Power of TV Cameras.  Fair enough they're taking their time on the final table now, but I reckon a 'normal' table gets through quite a few more hands per hour.

I am a good college friend of Jeff and we're all really excited following the action, though I may be the only one watching from here (blondepoker).

Jeff plays 5-10 and 10-20 NL on Stars and throws SNGs into the mix ranging from 215's to 530's across Stars, Dise, and PP. He sucks at PLO and limit (I should know I stacked him in a really deep PLO home game quads versus overboat :D )

Anyways his biggest MTT score to date was 40k in a Party Sunday and he's diabolical with a big stack, he plays LAG really well and it obv shows from this tourney performance. Us yank college folk are cheering him on :D

Marc has moved in twice in a row too - no one wants to take on the new shortest stack, even though it looks to be made up primarily of yellow (1,000) chips.  And he does it on the last hand too.   That's at least 60k for free for him.

Though about the event, it turned out from my point of view to run quite flawlessly, thanks to Thomas.

On the winner, I'm not sure, in my eyes he's a lucky "all-in kid". He drew out abit to much, but I guess that's needed considering his style of play.

As for the rest of the final table, at this day they had no hope in making it, kinda came clear when Jeff won with 56 vs AJ after HE pushed all-in, and won with TT vs AA.
