i'm in canary wharf and reports are somewhat sketchy but it would definately appear that a series of serious incidents have occurred across london.  not good, and all i want to do now is get the hell out of london and get home but with out the transport links that looks impossible at this moment.

I'm in Holborn. Got evacuated out of the tube on the way here. Seem to have been a number of explosions on the tube network which is now entirely closed. Bus explosion in Tavistock Sq. and possibly more buses not confirmed yet.

I am sorry to report I was caught up in this, as I was ascending the elevator at Kings X on my way to St Pancras to get a train I was affected by terrible fumes from nearby.

A terrible experience. Fortunately after several disorientating minutes amidst much panic I made it to ground level where I sat down and was soon assisted with oxygen by a paramedic. Soon I was breathing normally, sent to the local hospital for a quick check of the lungs and then released

I feel incredibly fortunate to have escaped so lightly, getting to Kings X two minutes later would have made a huge difference, but I don't think I will forget in a hurry some of the sights and sounds I heard this morning.

I went into work because there was no chance of me getting the transport to get home and am now sat here in a daze, clearly able to go home when I am able

My sincerest sympathies to all those more affected than I by this morning's events.

Glad to see your alright tight end........My thoughts go out to all those involved, my prayers to all that have lost their lives, and my eternal gratitude to those who are now risking there own lives to help at this time of great suffering..........it also would seem that there are several trains involved in incidents underground in Russal sq and nr King's cross lets hope further injury can be avoided.

It is too early to point responcibility at any one organization but an Al-quida website has claimed responcibilty............
Now what do all the lilly livered liberal do gooders feel about, seeing other views, leting everyone have there say etc..........
I hope the evil vile perpatrators of such sickening acts are hounded down at meet with the full power of the law....

So glad to hear you are ok, we seem determined to destroy each other, what have we learned from the past? the great war didnt end all wars, Auschwitz and Rwanda didnt end genocide, Northern Irland and 911 didnt end terrorism, where will it end?

Obviously I echo the sentiments above to families and people affected by this outrage, TightEnd hope I am glad you are able to write about your ordeal. Somewhat less serious but shows how it can affect so many people, I have an employee who travelled from Elephant and Castle to Croydon and now East Croydon Station is shut he cannot get back. Oh you should be aware that, for those wishing to travel to the Festival, Brighton station is also closed at the moment.

I agree with every word Eric said above.

Tight End glad ur ok...still can never understand what the possible justification for these evil acts can ever be....certainly not religion!

I arrived at St. Pancreas by train from Notts 40 minutes after the first explosion. It was rumour city at that point : Power Surges had caused explosions anda full power cut, a tube train had crashed into another at liverpool street etc etc...

I think quite sensibly all rail employees seemed to be communicating the power surge story - any mention of "terrorism" or the word "bomb" could easily have caused mass panic and god knows what would have hapened then.

My office is at the top of tottenham court road where it meets euston road, and as I was walking there they were clearing the whole of euston road. Helicopters everywhere, blue lights everywhere and thousands and thousands of ppl milling round on the streets.

When I got to the office I found that one of my team was on the bus behind the one that blew at russel square, so a couple of her close freinds went to pick her up and take her home, shaken but thankfully alright. The bus in front was full, which was why she got on the one she was on.

All my immediate team are OK thankfully, but there is a lot of worry here about who might have been caught up on it. You see the entire mobile network is f*cked, Vodafone have made the decision that there network is closed down to all but emergency calls to allow the police etc to communicate. O2 and Orange phones are getting some connection but with difficulty. Even land lines are now reaching capacity.

At the moment we are keeping ppl here in the office - as thats the advice from the police etc. But London still has a long day ahead to get everyone home. Tubes are confirmed out for at least today, and lots of overground affected to. No decision on gtting the buses back on the roads yet. Have to play it by ear, but i think I may have a few guests on my hotel room floor!

Echo RED-DOGS sentiments - terrorism does not f*cking work politically, so why keep doing it? I'll answer that myself. These are not political activists, any purpose they serve is just an excuse. They are people who like violence, and its f*ck all to do with "beliefs".

My condolences go out to those severly affected by this.  Tightend - glad to hear you came out OK.

Phil.

This is all too sad, all too bad, all too mad.

Our thoughts and condolences to all affected.

I was touched, moved to tears several times in fact, by the amount of support & comforting words spoken to me about this by Americans in Vegas.

It's just so awful. What did the victims ever do wrong to the perpretrators?

Ordiinary folks go to work one morning, & never come home.
