Jinky was quite simply the greatest.

Much loved by all Celtic supporters.

A true legend of the game.

tragic Day, Reace in Peace wee chap, at least he is with out pain now, didnt deserve any of it.

you will always be remembered, even by the young guys like me, who never had a chance to see him play live.

im very proud of the fact that im from Uddingston myself (200 yards from where he lives, and have had many a pleasure of being in Jimmy's company on numerous occasions in the past few years, he was always the life and soul of where ever he was.

Sad tragic day, thoughts are with his friends and family.

You will always be remembered, legend never dies.

He wasnt only the greatest ever Celt, he was the Greatest Football player ever seen!

Reaced with out pain now.

Scottish Dave

God Rest the Wee Man, to have that much ability without any big-headedness shows what a man he was.

Celtic have lost a familly member & a legend.

RIP You'll Never Walk Alone.

BTW  I saw the Sky Sports News coverage from outside Celtic Park, Thank You & well done to the Rangers & Aberdeen fans who added their scarves to the tributes to Jinky.

The wee man was a legend and put fear into any player he came up against
He would be so fast and tricky but tough at the same time
If he played today i think he would be more of legend as the tackles he put up with  easily
Would never have been aloud today
I had a great repect for what he done in football and what he had to battle with in his live

God must need another winger to go with Davy Cooper

R.I.P Jinky

We've got Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy Johnstone on the Wing
On the Wing
Oh Jimmy, Jimmy Johnstone, Jimmy Johnstone on the Wing!

God signs superstar!!

In an amazing piece of buisiness top manager God has swooped to sign Wee Jinky Johnstone to play for his famous Gods eleven. His mentor Jock Stein put God on the trail of the mercurial winger when he signed on as The Lords right hand man in 1985.
Wee Jinky will be joining some old pals in this team of teams , including his 'Lisbon Lions, buddies Ronnie Simpson and Bobby Murdoch. This will be a very happy re-union for all concerned.
God himself is said to be very excited about having the wee man slinging crosses into the middle for Jimmy McGrory, the paradise all time greatest goalscorer."This has the potential to be one of the greatest teams ever"God was quoted as saying,"Jinky with Patsy and Charlie Tully, I canny wait'.
Wee Jinky agrees with The Lord, and is looking forward to pulling on the famous green Halos (as they are known in Heaven), but disagrees with His assumption that it could be the best team ever. "Naw",Sais the wee flea with a glint in his eye."I have already played in that team".

Substantiate on that one please?

TAL Fanzine has been around before many other and is run by Celtic Supporters who where there through the good and the bad.  Not like may websites where we have a new breed of Celtic supporter - who never seemed to esist pre bunnet days!

I really did think you were kidding  ;)      everything is relative and what someone thinks is great another will think its crap.. Its all down to personal choice.  I never counted TAL as a Celtic website but always reckoned it was a political site trying to hang onto the coat tails of a Scottish club..  just a personal opinion though and perhaps a great topic over a beer or two rather on a thread on a poker forum thats dedicated to a great footballer..
