I've started to forget what life was like before this farce of a tourney started. when you've got players like roy brindley and dave ulliot comparing it to a crapshoot you might as well turn over and watch newsnight Title: Re: Poker on Channel 5 Tonight. Post by: BigTomatoes on March 16, 2006, 07:53:54 AM el blondie had a lucky escape last night on the show. all in with 55 against AJ flop - A x x turn 5 ;karabiner; Title: Re: Poker on Channel 5 Tonight. Think at one point think Jesse said DC had survived 29 allins over the 2 heats was in. Shame they never had heart monitors on ;) Title: Re: Poker on Channel 5 Tonight. I've started to forget what life was like before this farce of a tourney started. when you've got players like roy brindley and dave ulliot comparing it to a crapshoot you might as well turn over and watch newsnight Yeah I agree. I'll tune in to see how El Blondie does in the final, but it's awful stuff most of the time. Brindley took a couple of brutal beats to go out in his heat, and Ulliott just looked as if he was totally sick of playing these six-handed TV things. He moved all-in with K3 because he was pretty short-stacked and a guy called for about half his own stack with pocket fours - while there were still six players left at the table. It's as if everyone thinks he's trying to make a move on them these days, to the point where he can't even make value bets either. "He must've figured me for two higher cards, so why would he want to risk doubling me up?" is what he said to Jesse afterwards. |
