Title: BBII - Big thank you Post by: TenJack (10JQKA) on March 19, 2006, 11:44:29 AM Thanks to all the organisers of BBII and all the staff at Cincin's. I'm sure everyone thought yesterday's tourney was very well run and I hope things are going well today.
Particular thanks of course to the dealers. Jen pitched in as a dealer as soon as she arrived and it was only when she started dealing my table that I started to hit anything. (Flushy was dealing me rags for the first hour and a half!). And thanks to Craig who dealt my tables for most of the main part of the tourney. As for the trophy - can't blame anyone else! I knocked it off the table moments after receiving it. Doh! But it's a lovely trophy, easily repaired and will be proudly on display, proclaiming the title back where it belongs in Glasgow! Only slight disappointment was that I didn't get to meet as many of you as I might have as I was at a table the whole time (and I'm very quiet at the table!). I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for organising this event, I know alot of hard work went into this behind the scenes to make it run as smoothly as it did, and it went wonderfully. Thanks to Jane and Flushy for sorting the Heads Up comp and for being the first faces I saw when I walked into Cincins on Friday night (even though I was greeted with an 'oh no' groan from Flushy lol). I was a little bit nervous about meeting so many new people at once, but familiar faces and a little bit of alcohol soon got rid of any fears! What made the event for me was that everyone was so friendly whether you had spoken to them before or not, just shows what kind of people make up the Blonde forum and I don't think I stopped laughing from the minute I arrived til when I passed out on Sunday night! ;D I hope there will be many many more!!!
