heard from Angie a little while ago that they were just about to get underway. Not much info I know but it's all I have.

More than we had before, so ta for that Davey :)

I would phone for more updates, however I don't think it will please the table or Angie if the phone is going off every two minutes. Will therefore have to wait for Angie to phone me, I will put up any info the minute I get any.

El Blondie asked Rhow last night to make sure they had a laptop for updating purposes today.

So either there is no internet access or no one to do it.

Table one is an interesting one consisting of Ivey, Negraneau, Matusow, Fergusson, Harmon, Bloch and a plumber from Hamilton called Rab who turned up a week early for the next home game.

so any more gossip from last night trace. sorry i didnt get to speak to you. at least i introduced myself. that was something :D

Apologies that I wasn't quite with it last night when you did introduce yourself, I was a bit poorly.  I have no gossip I'm afraid cos I hightailed it back to the hotel at about 1:30am cos I felt so ill.  I dunno how the hell I managed to keep going until then.  lol

It was good to put a face to the name at last and hopefully we will get a chin wag at the next one.

Just been told players going back after a short break and IRONSIDE is Chip Leader  ;applause; ;applause;

Tikay was first out..  Tightend was on my table and went out  Sheriff was doing very well but got moved to another table..  I ran into  Aspades Ahrt when bluffing into a big pot pot just before the break  dohhhhhhhhhhhhh   8)   Tank and Jinky were at my table and had about average chips, both playing well and having great fun by the looks of it..  thats about as much as I can remember..     all still to play for   :D

We got down to  the last two, the final table was being slightly filmed and had been done up to the nines, prob the best Hamilton Accies Fc has looked. As a result of the excellent structure which allowed tons of play  :)up the final two tables dragged on and on.

However, going to the final table, first hand was  Kh Kd vs Ironsides  Ahrt Ac. Sam on the kings bit the dust as Ironside lectured the table that his calling the all in when it was folded round to his BB was the definitive way to play aces.

Ironside's brief moment of glory did not last, as Snoopy (the chip leader, playing some solid poker) proceeded to take out every other player, literally winning EVERY pot he was involved in. Highlights include Snoopy reraisng Flushy's  9c 9h with  8d 3c. Flop  3d 3h Kd.  Qc 7c  vs  Ac Ks, flop 3 clubs no help for the ace,  Qs 7h vs  Kh Ks- 5 diamonds on the flop for a split and my personal favourite, flop  7s 5h 3c Ironside with  7d 6h, Snoopy with  4s 4h, all the chips go in and Ironside calls (BEFORE the turn) that it will be runner runnner spade and the dealer duly obliges.

Limped with a view to a RR, Sheriff obliged, I insta moved all-in, he needs a HUGE hand to call me is my thinking, & I've got a zillion outs.  Huge hand? Well he DID have QQQ!

I turn the straight, the Board pairs on the end, & that was that.

I got a bucketfull of stick from the usual crew, quite right too, but I'd play it the same way again, & in fact I'm pleased I've overcome my previous fear of, & reluctance to, face up to early exits.

But you do feel a fool when it goes wrong on the very first hand of a tourney!

I went back to Cincins tail between legs, & ended up chopping the £40 Freezeout 50%-50-% with Badda, he had 122,000, I had 118,000 when we got Heads-Up, so pretty pleased with that one, which paid for the weekend with a bit to spare.

But truth to tell, I was a Card Rack in the Cincins £40 Freeze, I had hand after hand, includuing Quads, & got paid every time. I derive more satisfacton from grinding  ducking & diving with no starting hands, but hey, I'll take it! And what fun to share a table with the likes of Newmanseye, Scottish Dave, & the Maniac Cupcake.

Great, great, memories.

Had a blast.

Thx to those who helped organise the event, although getting the silverware home was tricky.
