Title: $ and euro bank accounts Post by: Splash on March 20, 2006, 04:04:42 PM Looks like I'm going to be doing a bit more travelling this year and so I'm thinking of opening a $ and euro bank account. Had a quick scout around and citibank look to have a reasonable offering. I guess using the debit card for a $ acount will get around lots of nasty exchange rate charges when paying into US sites as well.
Just wondered if anyone else has the same and can offer any words of wisdom? Ty, Jim Title: Re: $ and euro bank accounts Post by: brado on March 22, 2006, 12:52:16 AM i'm sure i've gone on about this before, but it's worth mentioning again.
nationwides debit account charges no loading fees on withdrawals worldwide, so basically you get the exact bank exchange rate on your withdrawals. the same applies to their credit card. full details on martin lewis excellent money saving expert site here http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/cgi-bin/viewnews.cgi?newsid1106765397,71685, |
