Title: Seat Position
Post by: Indestructable on April 02, 2006, 08:42:47 PM
Never come across this before and wondered what the right position is on this.
It was a SNG and we were all allocated seat positions as normal. However one character threw a wobbler and refused to take his allocated seat. He was claiming that he did not like to sit to the right of the dealer and asked for his money back or another seat. I am of the view it was the player to the right of his position that he was avoiding.
At this point a polite lady offerred a seat swap which he accepted.
For future reference what is the correct position on this. The card room manager just wanted a quiet life and accepted the swap, but don't know if he should have accepted or not?

In a perfect world it shouldnt happen, but sometimes its just easier to do so.

Say someone is in a wheelchair and cant actually get to the correct seat (we all know how tight some card rooms are)

Or a self deal comp and the guy in seat 8 says he doesnt mind dealing for the whole table then its common he just move to the dealers seat.

If it's someone being a prat then i wouldnt agree to move.
