I don't mind that but was it that bad a move? What do you think of the calls they made? Title: Re: A move gone wrong. Post by: Timaloy on April 03, 2006, 09:12:19 AM not a bad move in the right situation but it did look like a least one of the callers of the bet on the flop must be after a flush too, and its pretty hard to move a lot of ppl off there flush draws. Usually best to wait till the river when they miss it and hope they havent caught a pr to call with.
No idea what purplephase was chasing tho, mby trying to make call of the year :dontask: (dont like chasing open-enders against flush draws :P) Title: Re: A move gone wrong. Post by: 12barblues on April 03, 2006, 03:52:35 PM I think trying to move 4 opponents off the pot is a bit optimistic unless you know they can all lay down a hand.
They had no reason to have a go at you though, as neither of the callers had the required pot odds to call unless they make some heroically brave assumptions about the other hands. I do hope you got em on your buddy list.. Title: Re: A move gone wrong. Post by: clayftknight on April 04, 2006, 10:29:31 AM I don't understand how you even got to the turn, were you planning to steal from the start?
Stealing with outs and stealing without outs are two very different things.......and against 4 people....when you have a small stack. Your play was less bad than theirs though, if it was the flop i can understand their calls, but on the turn the calls were bad. |
