i read on the blodepoker.com front page that they are planning to run a 6 event series of HU matches for this curcuit, they have sold the tv rights accross the world, they plann of having 59 hours worth of shows from this series and are also planning on selling dvds of unedited matches, nice money spinner i would say, how much of this money will be going back to the players via added money to the prize pool or will the only consideration to the player be "you can wear logos"

it shouldn't be a case of logos or added money if the WHPO have sold the rights to the show accross the globe and will problery sell the sponsorship rights then money should be added, and as with all other sports players have there own right to be sponsored and wear there sponsors logo, can you really see tiger woods not being allowed to wear his sponsors logo during this weeks Open golf event or tim henman playing wimbledon (ok maybe only a round or 2) with out his nike slash on his shirt.

i think a figure of atleast matching the amount the players have added to the prize pool is an acceptable amount to add to this

theres no chance of that, looking at the facts this i just a money making decision.

The format in Barcelona is a good one and for some reason other cardrooms just haven't followed suit with this idea. However the fact that it loooks like the UK will misss out on thi tour for some reason is insane as at elast 30-40% of the fields from the WHU championships has come from mainland Britain, but its well noted they cant get enough money outta the events over here due to main venues all being tied in to one comapnay or another so theres no marketing it out to other potential sponors
