Title: Neteller Question Post by: The Camel on April 04, 2006, 03:41:32 AM Soooooo I finally got round to opening a neteller account...
To test it out I withdrew $10 from my Stars account into it... I was under the impression that the money would arrive in Neteller pretty much instantly... It's been about 6 hours and no sign yet... Anyone have any clue how long it will take? Title: Re: Neteller Question Post by: thetank on April 04, 2006, 03:43:42 AM Anything between 4 and 48 hours is my usual experience.
Title: Re: Neteller Question Post by: tikay on April 04, 2006, 03:46:59 AM You have THAT much in your Stars account Keith? Must have had a good run I guess. Title: Re: Neteller Question Post by: thetank on April 04, 2006, 03:51:28 AM If memory serves me right, larger withdrawls tended to go through faster.
I have no evidence to back this up, it just felt that way. Title: Re: Neteller Question Post by: The Camel on April 04, 2006, 03:56:16 AM Cheers Tank for the info...
I will treat the old fellas reply with the the disdain it deserves :redcard: Title: Re: Neteller Question Post by: Karabiner on April 04, 2006, 08:27:54 AM With Ladbrokes and Betfair it is almost instant. They seem to be the quickest.
Some other sites can take up to a week, it just depends how fast they process their cashouts I guess. Title: Re: Neteller Question Post by: I KNOW IT on April 04, 2006, 10:23:52 AM Its usually instant in my experiance Keith, but I thought it had to be more than $10 or maybe thats deposit.

Title: Re: Neteller Question Post by: Ironside on April 04, 2006, 10:32:31 AM stars is normally quick for withdrawls of over $100
they seem alot slow when i did a $50 withdrawl but was still under 24 hours Title: Re: Neteller Question Post by: Sheriff Fatman on April 04, 2006, 12:36:57 PM Stars withdrawals are pretty much instant if you are just cashing out funds previously deposited. For example if you deposited $600, lost a bit, and then cashed out the balance the funds would come back instantly.
If (as I assume Keith is) he's taken more out of Stars than he's put in then the transfers can take longer. I've always found it a bit odd but presumably they go through more security checks in that case. The first transaction by a new method of cashout might also take a bit longer than subsequent ones, which might also be a factor here. As for Neteller transfers themselves, they are instant once the site pushes the button. The delays experienced from site to site are all down to the individual site's procedures and general efficiency in processing them. Funnily enough, no site that I have ever encountered has a problem in receiving funds from Neteller instantly!! Come on, Keith NEEDS that $10...... He wants to take me on, in blonde, I reckon. He wants to take me on, in blonde, I reckon. The Cardroom. Some sites, e.g Pacific, won't process the transaction for a week, which is unacceptable in my view. No site, regardless of their procedures, should take more than 48 hours. Ironically, the two biggest sites, Stars and Party, are the two who are consistently quickest to payout to Neteller. I just think Neteller might be a better way of moving money around the sites without incurring the costs of changing money from sterling to dollars and back again... Nearly 24 hours and no sign of my $10 as yet though... I was onto my lawyer, Mr Lionel Hutz last night intent on suing Pokerstars, Neteller and tikay. But, when I just logged onto to Neteller this morning there was my $10!!! No more sleepless nights. Title: Re: Neteller Question Post by: ifm on April 05, 2006, 02:54:54 PM AAAAYYYYYYAAAAAARRRRR!!!!!!!

Title: Re: Neteller Question Post by: Dry em on April 05, 2006, 03:51:24 PM What's the consensus on here - are us Brits better off having a neteller account in pounds or in dolllars?
Title: Re: Neteller Question Post by: I, Zimbra on April 05, 2006, 03:55:26 PM I think the most sensible answer is that it depends on where you're going to do most of your playing; if you want to play mostly on US poker rooms like Party, Stars or UB then choose dollars; if you want mainly UK cardrooms (e.g. VC or Ladbrokes?) then have it in pounds...
there was a big discussion about it on another thread http://blondepoker.com/forum/index.php?topic=8630.0 Title: Re: Neteller Question Post by: Dry em on April 05, 2006, 04:23:54 PM I think the most sensible answer is that it depends on where you're going to do most of your playing; if you want to play mostly on US poker rooms like Party, Stars or UB then choose dollars; if you want mainly UK cardrooms (e.g. VC or Ladbrokes?) then have it in pounds... there was a big discussion about it on another thread http://blondepoker.com/forum/index.php?topic=8630.0 thanks a lot |
