You shouldn't send anything of this kind of value uninsured for two reasons a) If it genuinely gets lost in post I think first class only covers you up to £28 in insurance. b) If buyer pays via Paypal and then it goes astray ( or unscrupulous buyer claims he hasn't had it!) then it will be up to you to prove it's been sent otherwise they (paypal) will refund the buyer from your account. This proof of postage must be in the form of a trackable delivery such as special delivery. (i.e. not just a certificate of postage) Title: Re: Item to be sold Post by: smithy69 on April 09, 2006, 09:49:28 AM cheers peeps
i have lowered the buy it now price to £170 - lets see if this helps with regards to delivery and insurance, does anyone have a standard piece of writing that they have used before on ebay that i could use. cheers again Title: Re: Item to be sold Post by: Nem on April 09, 2006, 09:58:58 AM You should add a picture.

does your wife know you are selling off her gems to top up your bankroll? on a serious note though, good luck with sale. i agree a picture would be good mad Title: Re: Item to be sold Post by: smithy69 on April 09, 2006, 11:14:35 AM i got given it by a customer at work mate, as a gift. so basically im on a freeroll lol
Title: Re: Item to be sold Post by: smithy69 on April 09, 2006, 11:29:03 AM i have managed to add a picture, and changed the description slightly. does this look better now
Title: Re: Item to be sold Post by: KeithyB on April 09, 2006, 08:44:37 PM Ok taken a look Smithy and it's looking better. Your £1 start price is very tempting ( and risky! ) but if you got it free then why not! :D
However having doen some quick research you need to change your title and wording so that it reads BREIL and not BRIEL. Anyone searching for BREIL on ebay will not find your listing which means your losing out on potential bidders. Also you may wish to specify the product number of the necklace. Have a look at the following auction if you need any more ideas......it never hurts to study your competition.... ;D http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BREIL-milano-snake-necklace-steel-collection-jewellery_W0QQitemZ8914842226QQcategoryZ50659QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Title: Re: Item to be sold Post by: smithy69 on April 10, 2006, 08:49:41 AM Cheers everyone. Listing has been revised as per instructed.
I have put a small reserve on it, but its not that high. I think at even a £100 its a bargain, so lets see what happens. Title: Re: Item to be sold Post by: henrik777 on April 10, 2006, 05:50:15 PM http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/keyword-spam.html
Wouldn't matter unless you get reported. Sandy Title: Re: Item to be sold Post by: Pokerron on April 10, 2006, 09:35:10 PM Someone else seems to selling the same thing for a buy it now of £70.

I have their catalogue in front of me, and it def aint £70 Title: Re: Item to be sold Post by: Nem on April 11, 2006, 10:50:04 AM Yeah, but this is ebay and if someone is willing to see theirs for £70, you're not going to get much more, especially listing the item at the same time.
Title: Re: Item to be sold Post by: smithy69 on April 11, 2006, 02:03:24 PM so far so good
