Timing: We hope to do bB3 in July, pre-WSOP.

Venue: We have done The Midlands & Scotland, so Wales is a strong contender, but we would need to find a Venue with adequate capacity. But I'd say, subject to that, Wales is the first choice. London & the South-East? A suitable Venue is the problem. We cannot think of any suitable Venue at the moment, with one possible exception. Remember - the venue needs to want us as much as we want them. Also in the reckoning for bB3 - it would be first choice if we had not already had one in the Miidlands - would be Grosvenor Walsall. Walsall is reasonably located on the road & rail networks, so is very possible, & they certainly have demonstrated that they would welcome a bB.

Please bear with us while we work it out - an announcement will be made asap.

bB4, we hope, will be around Christmas, at DTD, Rob Yong's place in Nottingham, all being well, but if DTD is delayed, then we would go there for bB5.

For sure, both Grosvenor Walsall & DTD will be on the itinerary. If I were a betting man, my money would be on Walsall for bB3.

Feedback welcomed, but please bear with us while we evaluate the options. The blonde Team, right now, is very busy, what with the Re-Launched site, the new Cardroom (still MUCH work to do on that, truly) & a few other things in the pipeline. But the "to-do" list does include sortng out bB3.

As I said after BB1, I'll travel anywhere for it! I think it's easy enough for anyone to get to as long as theres a nearby airport/train station. See you there - wherever that may be!!

Yes, it's lovely, but really awkward for those in wheelchairs.

There is a lift from Ground to Cardroom, the cardroom is, effectively, on FOUR levels though. There is a lift to the Upper Level Cardroom (the one that overlooks the Marina), but the "Main" floor itself is multi-level - there is the tinsy little "downstairs" cardroom, plus the Main Casino Area, in which the original Cardroom is located, has a 4 step level change too. This is served by a little wheelchair lift, and as Eric Stoner wll testify, it's slow & awkward.

In summary, there are 3 Cardrooms on 3 different levels, & the main area - where the Restaurant is located, & one of the Cardrooms - has a 4 step level change.

That's a little out of order - we don't refer to any Venues in such terms, please. "I don't like Gutshot", or "it's not my cup of tea", or even " it's horrible, in my opinion", but the phraseology used here is not really whjat we like to see on blonde. I hope you will Edit it - thanks Bud.

The Restaurant would involve wheelchair users in using the lift to the Cardroom, then the little cranky wheelchair lift.  And there is no way on earth they would let us tke over the Restaurant Area on a Saturday evening & Sunday, it's packed Saturday night & Sunday lunch & evening.

We have considered all these options carefully.

I am not in the business... but given it's twenty-six miles wide, I would find it difficult to believe that there are none whatsoever. Even with wheelchair access.

It's a fatal mistake Flushy, to think that just because they wear micro-mini dresses with bulging cleavages, the package inside is necessarily attractive.  It may be, but it don't necessarily follow. Demurely dressed ladies in loose fitting clothes, without their cleavage in your face can be pretty atractive too, you know.

Anywhere south of the Midlands is good for me - Wales is good (well, it's ok ;)) Birmingham, any South location but please please please not over the 24th July or 31st July - birthdays happening for me and one is my daughters so I definatly can't miss it.

London is convenient for me, but I hate it, so Wales certainly gets my vote.  Swansea is a great place and I'll be living there come September so I need to go down there as much as possible before then. 

Have only been to Cardiff for the Millenium Stadium.  Not really been to the north much as it's a bit of a pain to get to, took us 4 and a half hours to drive from Snowdonia to Swansea!!!

bb1 was a bit of a blur due to the fact i had an operation the day before. so was bb2 come to think of it but that was due to the 18 pints and the numerous shots! :D

I think the Vic 'ethos' is the opposite to most of us who would play.

East access for everyone tuns of different accomodation to suit every budget, norkage and err does it need anything else.

ITB I cannot remember you at all from BB1, but too be honest that isn't a surprise to anyone who saw me.  To be honest from what i hear the only difference between you at BB2 and me at BB1 was that I never shouted YOUR RUBBISH at anyone. 

As for where I was, unfortunately I was in a little place called Monte Carlo celebrating a friends seventh Pro Boxing win, and getting flack when I got back to the hotel for using the internet connection for checking the updates on Blonde!

blackpool is a good shout apart from it being one of hardest places in the country for me to get too i still like blackpool and hope to be there for the festival next month (depending on date for check up on my operation) though the serious lack of wheelchair access to the norkage is a bit of a downer

gutshot has barred me again (i think they keep changing there mind) so i would not be attending any event there

london is a great hub for travel and makes it so easy to travel anywhere in teh country realitvely cheaply so would be good as a venue or easy enough for people from there to get anywhere, problem with london IMHO is the expense for thouse traveling into it hotels cost 50-100% more than hotels outside london beer costs over £2 ffs food is more expensive although on the plus side they have a wide vareity of nightlife activities for those traveling with partners so you can promise to take your wife/husband/misstress/toyboy to watch grease if they put up with you playing poker for a couple of nights

wales is always good for a night out and with the roads and rails and even flights into cardiff then it shouldn't be too much of a problem getting too and cheap enough once you get there

Ireland seemingly you dont need a passport so a mass invasion from blondites and all that cheap guiness would make for a good weekend

walsall i love the place, travel is cheapish, its a central location and just 30 seconds from a motorway, the village hotel wouldnt know what hit it, the valets are wonderfull though the cardroom manger looks a bit like antony from bb6 the general manger is always trying to be helpfull even if he keeps giving me bum steers on the karoke front

There are cheap hotels available in London, you can get a room from about £30 per night.

i think Blackpool is a fantastic idea :)  pleasure beach :)  only 2 hours from me

I do like the sound of Blackpool. My only concern (already raised) is that July is likely to be the busiest time in the town though, then again, I'd much rather go to Blackpool in July than in, say, November.

Forgive me but does the WSOP run from end of June through to Mid August? I know the main event will be End July to Mid August (hopefully - fingers crossed) but will many of the top players be going out there for several weeks and therefore miss any bash arranged during July?

This has been raised elsewhere. I also thought this but tikay's post refers to the WSOP main event not the whole WSOP. The main event of the WSOP does not start until August so July is fine.

The crossover between those going to the whole WSOP and those going to BB3 will be minimal.

The Main Event actually starts on the 28th July.

I'd imagine that if BB3 happens in July it's be on 1st or 8th (maybe 15th at a stretch). Any later and Tikay et al will no doubt be knee-deep in preparations for WSOP or actually out there.

Again this has been raised. Believe it or not that tikay fella does know excalty what he's doing - I kid you not. No one's time at the WSOP is set in stone yet, so many dates are available.

why don't we all just leave the speculation and "what ifs" until the guys have a chance to get some things set in stone?

Loads of venues that can be arranged holding up to 300 players conveniently located in hotels, therefore availing of all night residents bar facilities. Flights from 1c upwards from virtually any airport in the UK.

Tournament equipment can be supplied gratis and staff at cost, tournament structure at Blondepoker's discretion.

Ireland IS on the list, though I'm not sure it is ideal for bB3, but this year, yes. And we will deffo take you up on your very kind offer.

For those that are not aware, Mike runs a site (links not permitted, so careful how I type this) called Antes Up, which covers, predominantly, the Irish Poker scene.

Mike Lacey & Tom Murphy are at most of the big European Events that blonde do Live Updates on, & Antes Up do them too.

Without Tom & Mike, many of our Updates would not have happened, as they are techie wizards, & have saved our life many a time. We pretty much share info between us too, whats ours is theirs, & vice-versa. We trust them completely.

Mike is crap at the cash game though.

why not see if we could hire 'Big Slick' in purley, for the next bash,
Croydon, easy to get to, loads of nightlife, lots of hotals (jury's in east croydon has some good weekend deals), meny B&b's for the budget minded.
As I've said before Big slick is very new, 12 tables, big bar lots of seating(leather couches),good menu,  plasma sky sports.and internet room.
I would think a blonde only deal could be arranged,for gratis....the bar bill alone would make their accountants very happy.
Plus for me and iron there's one level access,and a roof carpark for the ablebodied.

I thought I'd been clear in saying I have no problem with Big Slick, but it seems some of you are curious as to why I said it was not appropriate. Please trust me, what I say is what I mean.

So far as I know, Big Slick run a site, which is, essentially, an affiliate site, with links to other Online Card Rooms, I seem to recall "King Solomons" being one of them.

We have our own Cardroom. While we remain, essentially, an "open" site, it just seems to be "not right" that we would consider holkding a venue at their place. And that assumes they'd have us.

bB3 will include some blonde CardRoom tie-in - obviously - hence my stated view.

I know a previous poster got a spanking for saying The Gutshot club was a shithole, but are we allowed to point out Blackpool is one?

We most certainly would not allow anyone to refer to The Gutshot in such derogatory terms. Equally, that applies to the Grosvenor Casino in Blackpool, one of the UK's best managed, & most popular, venues.

So I'm not sure what point is being made here, but I think a lttle more respect is in order. And "sh**hole" is not a term I like to see too often on blonde.

Well the wsop finishes 10th August and I think there is a P4C event on the Bank holiday weekend in Geordie land so hopefully this date will be avoided.

The organisers, Monty Burns, the Venue, it's quite tricky, but we have to find the date when all are available.

On that note, the Brummie Bandits Classic will be over the August 27th-29th Bank Holiday weekend, a festival of events with a two day Main Event, we're hoping for a 50 strong field
