sorry people for operational reason i created a new account and informed all the mods that i created the new account

then i get an unexpected welcome which i wasnt expecting and felt was bringing attention to the fact i had opened the new

account i thought tighty was wanting a little fun so i thought ok i'll play ball only for tighty to 5 posts in out me as a current member

so after checking with him where he wanted to go with this i found out it was a whoooooooshhhhhhhhh and he hadnt realised that

whome was infact notme

tikay and dc et al must feel very confident with the great minds running the forum.

sorrry we are not running the forum the members are

we just try and keep the coggs turning

OK, OK,.......!

But we ought to explain what REALLY happened tonight. We did get in a bit of a pickle, but with the very best of intentions.

A new Member joned up with what seemed to us to be a racist name. Possibly quite innocent, but it was iffy. Naturally we, & we assume you too, are anti-racism. We debated it at length, & eventually decided it was not acceptable. So we decided to write to him & ask him to create a new Account with a more acceptable name. As we had decided to close the Account - he cannot change the Member Name - we had to e-mail him, & he never replied to the e-mail.

Which meant that until a new Member signed up his name was staring at us from the top right hand side of the Forum as the Latest Member.

So Iron thougt it a good idea to open up a "false" account, simply so that the racist name disappeared.

And at that point, Tighty, bless him, welcomed the new "member"......!

I am not at all sure if Tighty was whooshing Iron, or the other way round, but that's the story.

Just so's you know.....
