Last Night i think the most annoying player came to walsall for virtual whole duration of the rebuy period  he was complaining about the no smoking policy disrupting the whole cardroom with his loud and foul behavior, he didnt stop until the manager had a quite word with him. ive seen him there before but hasnt been in for a while, some of u may know who im on about but forget about the best player in the world, WHO IS THE MOST ANNOYING PLAYER IM THE WORLD?

Anymore clues to who he is?

talking of Phil Helmuth ,can anyone confirm the exact quote along the lines of "if there was no luck involved / if luck weren't a factor I'd win every time"

Gotta say he never annoyed me or anyone on our table, just another case of the manager wanting to throw his weight around again ;D

In what way anway?, some annoy me cuz they moan when they lose a hand others cuz they STINK of BO, others when they hit every goddam flop!,

"I" keep losing all my money.  "I" then convince myself to go back for more next week.  Worse still is "I" keep going online in between and losing more of my money.  :-\

I bet you've all met this fella at some stage of your game.  Really annoying he is.

Well Red-Dog is right, we don't wanna go down the flaming route, but if you amended "annoying" & changed it to "frustrating", well....

My nomination would be Keith Hawkins, aka The Camel. His game is to be Table Captain, dominate, mess about in every pot, bet the flop regardless, we all know what he's up to. So when he's on my starting table, I always resolve not to let him, to play him at his own game. Then, after I'ver lost most of my stack trying to stand in the way of steamroller Hawkins, I decide to give best, & resort to rock mode. Happens every damn time. It hurts when you think you are playing your A game, & some geezer runs over you. The reality is that he's too good for me, & I just hate to have to accept it.

No, sry, I find Kieth frustrating too but I like him, I detest my man, he bullys inexperienced dealers and intimidates players, his language is foul and he cheats, worse than this he pretends to be nice when he's winning

In fact annoying is too good a word for my man, I wouldnt piss on him if he was on fire

In all honesty I can say that in my time representing BSQ at Grosvenor festivals I have never met anyone I could describe as annoying.  All the players are imo tip top individuals, who smell sweetly of roses and I couldn't ever imagine a nasty or uncouth word coming out of any of their mouths. 

I've heard there is the odd liar around somewhere closer to home though...

In response to Red-Dod, & for the avoidance of doubt, I like Keith a lot, & consider him to be a good mate. But he's still damn frustrating to share a table with.

But I'm intrigued by Red's anonymous nomination - "he cheats". That narrows it down.

players who annoy me ? well to put it quite bluntly no one does lol, but them im the shy guy sat at the table,

i have played with keith also, he didnt anoye me at all, sayin that he went out around 7th and i went on to win the event lol only the P4C PL event last year but hey a victory over a pro is a victory over a pro!

on a more serious note, i love to sit at a table with an *annoying player* as i think it helps my game
i would say the only thing that really pees me off is when a player whoever he/she is attacks the dealer/cardroom managment i would instantly bar them myself, i recently witness something at an event, where a player who got Aces busted in a major final actually cracked the dealer on the shoulder, and his punishment ?!? non whatsoever.. thats my only gripe with them, they attack me sod em lol ill get em back by getting there chips lol

I believe he's a regular at Nottingham Gala too !

Or maybe a close relative.

I must confess, the same thought occurred to me, but in the light of Notts herculean efforts to improve things I decided to let sleeping dogs lie.

I laughed yesterday at a post about a Greek Olympic Poker Team. Talk about "same village", eh?

"Jeez..... if it wasn't for luck I'd win every time". Said with tears choking at one stage after getting ridiciously outdrawn in the PLHE final 2004 WSOP. A classic I watch everytime I want cheering up :D

Speaking of Hellmuth.

One of the high points of my recent sortie to the wsop was playing in a $4/8 lhe with a half-kill at the Palms.

On sitting at the table one of the regulars pointed out the "lunatic" in trap#10.

It was none other than Robert "le dangereux" Cohen !

I immediately went over and shook his hand explaining that since that memorable episode of Late Night Poker
He had been one of my heros.

He looked at me blankly. He really does not speak a word of English.

After utilising my long since forgotten O level French, he did get the gist of it, eventually.

Always nice to meet your heros in real life.

Did he have his "4 musketeers" cap on?

Robert & I struggled for a while - "how many chips you got Robert" I'd say, trying to do the Live Update. He'd look at me & just giggle, & shrug his shoulders. Now he knows the driill. I tap him on the shoulder, he shows me by way of fingers how many chips he's got. Least, I think that's what he's saying.

But I then say summat like "you Frogs are all mad", & he giggles heartily & nods his head.

Was that the one where Hellmuth called the all in, lost and claimed he didn't call?

That was the one.
