Title: Text to phones
Post by: Indestructable on April 23, 2006, 10:31:31 AM
I sometimes use the text to landline service and last night sent a message to the missus to let her know that i was still in the tourney and would be back late.
I get to bed at 2.30 and in need of a good nights sleep.
At 7am the phone rings and it is my message from last night.
Now I am tired and grumpy.
 :tikay:
Just thought I would mention it in case anyone else uses it and doesn't realise that there must be some sort of time restrictions on this service.

There are no restrictions on when you receive them by default but you can set it up so that you only get them within a certain timeframe

Just had this response:

Further to your enquiry I would advise you that a standard 'system' curfew between 11pm and 7am has been introduced.  This curfew will apply to all Voice Text retries to cut down late night and early hours disturbance.  Please note that any new Voice Text arriving between these times will attempt to be delivered once and will then be under curfew until 7am.
Variable curfew timings are also available, which will allows customers to be able to choose times when messages will be blocked from arriving on their line or into their network messaging mailbox.

Not sure if the missus has forgiven me for getting to bed at 2.30 or for the phone waking her up at 7.00.  :D
