Don't know how he called either of those bets, and then managed to escape on the river. Absolute lucky bastard.

Why the Whine? Someone moves in whilst you have the nuts , this is a good thing .

Because despite all the, "you want people to call you when they're behind", "it'll even out in the long run" and numerous other logical comments, it's frustrating being outdrawn when you're a huge favourite.
Yes statistically hands like that even themselves out, but that's over the hands played by everyone, sometimes you can't help think you're getting shafted everytime, and some lucky bastard is having his hand hold up everytime.
Anyway, was just a whine out of pure pissed-off-ness as that sort of thing has happened 4 times in the last 3 hours, with huge pots.

While we're on the subject, I just got my Q-Q killed by A-K when he check-raised me all-in on a Jack-high flop... with the ace hitting the turn.

Not a particularly special beat.

These are textbook mistakes, I hope I see my opponents make them every day.

think on the bright side he had to pay the 2$ rake

9% dog hitting on the river is naughty though. :(

Also remember that people, especially beginners, don't "see" straights easily. (Unlike flushes, which usually stare one straight in the face).

He looks at his two pair and starts thinking you have A-J or K-K and figures he's in good shape.

very unlucky josh

I dont know what he was doing calling with 2pr on the turn.. Heads Up 2 pair is trash, especially against someone who has a short stack and overbet the turn.

I hope you bought into the 5/10 game with another £409 so you could get ur money back.

with deepest sympathy,

totalise

 rotflmfao rotflmfao rotflmfao rotflmfao rotflmfao

that said, whilst we're on the subject, I got outdrawn badly on three occasions today. KK v 6K preflop all-in and he made the straight. AA v 77 all-in on the turn, river 7. AK v AQ on AK8 board. turn Q, river Q. Yes, irritating, but just get those poker tracker stats or your excel sheet out and look at the beautiful graphs. As long as you're a winning player you shouldn't care if you get outdrawn. Edit that guys players note and add 'fish'. It pays off in the long run.

haha that post actually put me in a better mood, quite funny.

I'm well aware heads-up 2 pair's very big hand, but I didn't explain he'd been playing aggressive for a very long run of hands, and I'd been making big lay downs, waiting for a big spot...and showing them, he was also raising every hand with absolute crap, which is why I even called to start with. I overbet the turn because I wanted to take the pot down then and not give him a chance at drawing to a flush, as all day I'd been called by people calling for a flush draw on the turn and hitting it, without getting the odds to call.

You are waiting to trap him so move in with the nuts?

Yeah horrible when a flush draws comes in with 1 card to come!

I was going to buy an xbox 360 with the £800 I was up today, 'til I lost about a grand and a half, bastards.
Now I'm going to have to just get drunk, read a book and sleep as usual, for the next 2 days 'til I've got over whining.

OMG OMG OMG?!
You split a pot, because you all had the nuts?!
Wow, I feel sorry for you.
Give me your adress, I'll send you a grand.

Just to clarify, this is my whine thread, and my beat is the worst possible beat imaginable, so if anyone else posts a bad beat here, and tries to steal sympathy away from me, I am going to stab them with a fish knife.

No, I want to stab you with a fish knife, as aforementioned.

I think the majority of us have given up looking for sympathy for bad beats .. it's all yours ;)

bugger the sympathy, I'm going on a 24 hour caffeine/alcohol fuelled mission to win the lot back, good start so far.
