" This obviously an unmissable opportunity........pokerzone welcomes emails live to the show and then reads them out...... Got it in one - now lets not overdo it people - obviously we want Tikay to keep his job...but he needs our help in livening up what can be slow programme watching internet poker ;sleep; Not sure of the start time but I think we may be about to double their viewing figures! The poker channel has let poker down by being lazy or just not having the money to make a decent poker show, but the pokerzone has put in alot of effort to make there shows watchable. I cant wait for Tikay to get on the poker night live im sure he will bring a new vibe to that show, gl .

So "Beat The Presenter" is really "beat the Commentator"? Well, we shall see. I made a good living in SNG's in 2004, but that was more down to the (lack of) quality of the oponents than any special skill on my part. This gets worse by the minute, but I know one thing, I will do my damnedest to do the job as well as I can, so what wlll be will be! Exciting though, I have to say. Wednesday's will be interesting, for so long as I retain both or either jobs. Record 425 in the afternoon, & PNL in the evening/overnight. Means an overnight stay in London, but I can catch the early puffer back home on Thursday morning. I was approached by PNL to do the gig, but I felt I needed to seek 425's permission first. They had already had the word, & were only too pleased to give approval, which was a relief. I think they take the view that if I do PNL, it kinda reflects on 425. Who'd have thought it? But gving Poker Advice is the one drawback to the Role, as I rarely do, because I don't feel qualified so to do. I happen to think that almost all written material on the subject (Poker Advice) is pretty useless, an eccentric view to say the least, because it just depends on so many variable factors. "How to play AK in early Position?" always tickles me. Early in a comp, late on, short stacked, deep stacked, aggressive/passive table, relative stacks, type of oppo?, da de da de da. There are rarely two instances where the advice would be the same. So I'm not sure how I will handle that, but if push comes to shove, I'm sure I can waffle on for a while! I watched the show this norning when it was repeated. Vain? No, not at all. If I do summat, I wanna do it properly, so it was "pick myself to pieces" time. Plenty to work on, from what I saw too! "Fiddlng" with my hands, playing with my specs, too many "errs", forgetting to look at "my" camera when addressing the viewers (which is the OPPOSITE of what I have to do on Poker 425, where the rule is, NEVER look at the camera), & even, once, yawning while in shot. Oops...... Ah well, at least I know I can do better, and as long as I do my best, it is what it is. If anyone has any positive criticism - no matter how hurtful it may seem - I'd be grateful if you let me know. If you'd prefer to do it by PM, fine. Thing is, I feel I'm representing blonde when I'm on PNL, & I had full clearance from the Producer peeps to mention blonde as much as I wished, within reason. So you'd be helping the "blonde" Profile if you point out the weaknesses. Not too many, mind..... Oh, & the last thing - all those e-mails from the blondes were just the ticket. The techies in the gallery feel they enhanced the show, so a big up to you all, & more of the same next week please, when the Presenter will be Lynsay, who sounds a nice chap by all accounts. Tom S seemed somewhat non-plussed by it all and even felt the comments were a bit OTT, e.g. the B&Q quip, he ought to come on here and see what stick you really get. I promised them I would be myslf, no more, no less, so it's what's on the tin. The crucial test comes today when The Big Suit reviews the prog. By the by, in chatting with Tom "off air" about 425 (a "do not mention on camera" area, obviously, as the two progs run at the same time), I mentioned that I'd just interviewed Roland de Wolfe for 425, & he told me that Roland was one of the first ever commentators ever on PNL.
