Title: Pokerstars cashing out?
Post by: scotty2hatty on April 26, 2006, 09:13:35 PM
Hi everyone, this is my first post.

quick question, i am away to deposit via my visa debit card into pokerstars but noticed a little sign saying that they can not cash out back to my visa card. why is this and how do i get my money if i want to cash out? is a tricky process?

thanks in advance, scottc.

Welcome to the forum.

My advice is to either open a $ Neteller account or if you need the money asap ask for a sterling cheque.

thanks for the reply, i haven't even deposited yet but i was just a bit wary when i saw the bit saying i couldn't get the money cashed back to card. i'm just used to playing on VC where it was simpler.

so if i deposit from my card just now and decide to cash out in future it shouldn't be too difficult?

I cashed out of Pokerstars 2 weeks ago, within a day the money was in my Neteller account and within 3 days the money was in my bank account.

If you really really  want, you can get a Neteller Debit card.

Withdrawl from poker site to neteller takes less than a day. From neteller to neteller debit card is pretty much instantaneous.

So you can get the cash on same day. Fees are a pisser though.

they send you a cheque if you request - it takes about 4 days to arrive.

although it's not clearly advertised, UK customers who deposit with a debit card can have the funds back on the same card. you need to do it through customer services rather than automated.

you can only withdraw upto the amount deposited back to the card.

If you deposit $600 on monday and by the end of the week have built your bankroll upto $2000 and decide to cash out they will only let you withdraw $600 back to your card. You then have to withdraw a second time for the remaining $1400 by either requesting a cheque direct from pokerstars or having the balance sent to a neteller account if you have one.

You'd be better doing the exact opposite of me at the moment, cant hit a cow's @r$e with a shovel!! Just bits and pieces to keep the bankroll ticking over without anything big.

4 final tables in 2 weeks leads me to believe you dont need help from anyone ;)

No, this is NOT the case (for me anyway)

I deposited $500 into my pokerstars account recently, using a new Visa debit card that has just been issued to me. I was lucky enough to have a couple of decent wins which took my balance to over 20K, I have since cashed out about $4k back to the same card without any problems.

They do send you a peculiar email though, it says, "Your initial deposit of $500 has been returned to your Visa card, the remainder of the amount you requested will be transfered to your visa card"

I honestly feel that there is one rule for one and a different rule for another regarding cashouts from Pokerstars.

I've only every made one deposit using my debit card - $600 during the last 20% deposit bonus scheme. When i came to withdraw an amount from my account last month it would only allow me to transfer $600 back to my card, i had to withdraw the remainder of my request to my neteller account and request a cheque from them. (I actually got the cheque at the same time as the funds reappeared in my account so it didnt make any difference)
