Title: bt do it again Post by: Ironside on April 27, 2006, 09:50:50 PM they break my broadband and its me that has to pay for it
first the 0845 number which it seems i have been on for about 20 hours in the past couple of weeks while they still charge me nearly £30 a month then when i finally get a modem cable connected to the wall socket they tell me to phone a 50p a minute number to get the number i needed to connect then i get connected at 28k but they dont even have a free phone number its an 0844 daylight robbery and the funny thing is they know i cannot do a thing about it even if i change isp the still own and maintain the lines the thiefing *&^%$%^&^% wont get away i will be making sure i get refunds for all calls made and even thinking of putting in a bill for hours wasted and the minium email to ofcom and my mp (and msp after the by election results) are about to be written this is a farce (ps those waiting for 425 show this week will need to wait untill i get a little upload speed) Title: Re: bt do it again Post by: Heid on April 27, 2006, 10:23:58 PM That's it Iron - purge.
Title: Re: bt do it again Post by: gatso on April 27, 2006, 10:24:34 PM The incopetence and complete lack of customer service of companies like BT really irritates me and makes me wonder why I ever bothered moving back to this country.
Here's how my internet provider in Poland operated 1) you get a problem 2) you send a text message to the company 3a) they fix it remotely within an hour or 3b) they send someone round to fix it within a couple of hours simple. ok, the service is expensive for most, £15/month being about 10% of the average workers salary but if you can get that level of service in a country in which I remember having problems even buying food anywhere but western hotels 14 years ago surely we can get something decent in a properly developed country (or even in Scotland) |
