Title: N/P: DviX Format Post by: Nem on April 28, 2006, 12:47:26 PM I'm going to buy Lost seasons 1 & 2 and they are in DivX format. Would I need to convert them to a different format to watch on my Laptop?
Thanks :)up Title: Re: N/P: DVIX Format Post by: Graham C on April 28, 2006, 12:50:34 PM DIVX you mean?
Title: Re: N/P: DviX Format Post by: stallyon on April 28, 2006, 12:59:02 PM you may need to install a DivX codec - you can get these from www.divx.com

Which codec pack should I have? K-Lite or DivX? Title: Re: N/P: DviX Format Post by: Graham C on April 28, 2006, 01:01:41 PM either really. Do you have a divx player ?
you can get a free version from www.divx.com Title: Re: N/P: DviX Format Post by: El Yortle on April 28, 2006, 01:29:39 PM A lot of regular DVD-players can play DIVX now - if you're looking to upgrade your regular box then you could do this and watch it on a full-size TV easily.

Title: Re: N/P: DviX Format Post by: rivered on April 28, 2006, 02:19:32 PM where are you buying the second season from? I'm busting to get this, but am completely useless and lazy when it comes to all that torrent stuff, and just want to pay for the goods.
First two episodes in a few days!! bring it on!! Title: Re: N/P: DviX Format Post by: swish on April 28, 2006, 02:29:41 PM If you are looking for a dvd player that can handle DivX, XviD and all other manners of video format, then the Philips DVP630 is a little cracker - cheap as chips and plays absolutely anything you throw at it.

It is arguably the best TV program ever made. Title: Re: N/P: DviX Format Post by: Sark79 on April 28, 2006, 07:13:59 PM It is good, but I like the fast pace of Prison Break better. Prison Break is number 1 and LOST is number 2 right now.
I have been watching Invasion, but even the appeal of the doctor woman has not kept me from starting to lose interest. It is sooooo slow. I liked 4400 as well. The 3rd series should be coming on soon. Brits just can't make TV shows like the Americans can. Hustle isn't bad occasionaly . But thats about it. Oh and also Doctor Who Title: Re: N/P: DviX Format Post by: lvlarc_uk on April 28, 2006, 08:13:47 PM Spot on :)up Although Lost can be slow at times its still cracking entertainment, loving Prison Break too.
Just downloaded 24 Season 1 - 5 plan on watching them over weekends, another excellent American TV series.
