Title: Re: small boat Post by: Colchester Kev on April 30, 2006, 11:55:57 PM stick all your chips in and hope he calls
Title: Re: small boat Post by: Dewi_cool on April 30, 2006, 11:58:50 PM fold coz its a bad beat story
Title: Re: small boat Post by: Bongo on May 01, 2006, 12:00:11 AM call and hope to get all his chips in on the turn
Title: Re: small boat Post by: NoflopsHomer on May 01, 2006, 12:06:48 AM I'd push here, you're more likely to get calls from overpairs which may put you on a draw or possibly calls from hands such as Ad Kd
Title: Re: small boat Post by: SupaMonkey on May 01, 2006, 12:52:36 AM Me too, it is unexpected and he may think you are on tilt and trying to win your chips back.
Title: Re: small boat Post by: Ironside on May 01, 2006, 12:59:56 AM ok i wanted a full double up here so went down the call and wait till he gets help route so he doesnt fold
Ironside: calls 1800 batscarer: folds *** TURN *** [5d 4d 5c] [Jh] matrix777: checks Ironside: bets 150 matrix777: raises 1050 to 1200 when he checked i thought he must have me on a 5 or he is drawing to the flush with AK and wants a free card so i will build the pot wasnt expecting the reraise though so what do i do now? Title: Re: small boat Post by: Josh on May 01, 2006, 01:13:31 AM Stick it all in and hope it wasn't me raising with Jack 5 for a laugh
Title: Re: small boat Post by: totalise on May 01, 2006, 01:15:56 AM pot is 5850.. and you decide to "build the pot" by betting 150? you only have 3260, try and figure out how much he will call, and then bet that much.If he has JJ then you lose.. ul gg, but thats not all he can have... he can have almost any overpair, diamonds... double barrelling the bluff/a random 5... who knows/cares, if you got your stack in the middle everytime you are in this situation (ie a flopped boat vs a preflop raiser) you would profit handsomely from poker, so just proceed and push your whole stack or most of it in the middle (w/ever you think the most he will call is)
Title: Re: small boat Post by: dik9 on May 01, 2006, 01:17:19 AM Pass to his pair of Jacks in the hole, as said earlier, it's gonna be a 50p in the kitty!
Title: Re: small boat Post by: Royal Flush on May 01, 2006, 01:23:54 AM I call the flop to try to get the 3rd player in, on the turn i bet 1/3 my stack or 1/3 the pot whichever is more.
Title: Re: small boat Post by: Bongo on May 01, 2006, 01:28:16 AM On the turn I still want to get all my chips into the pot, but I want to do it in a way that would get all his in too.
Depending on which I thought would gt more chips from him I'd either go all in after his raise or call and see if he fancies betting the river... Title: Re: small boat Post by: NoflopsHomer on May 01, 2006, 01:46:59 AM On the turn I still want to get all my chips into the pot, but I want to do it in a way that would get all his in too. Depending on which I thought would gt more chips from him I'd either go all in after his raise or call and see if he fancies betting the river... But if you raise or move in on the flop, you're more likely to get action from drawing dead flush hunters as well as overpairs. Title: Re: small boat Post by: Ironside on May 01, 2006, 02:02:31 AM i think i'll play it smart knwoing he will bet out on river then i can get a full double up
Ironside: calls 1050 *** RIVER *** [5d 4d 5c Jh] [6s] matrix777: bets 1350 Ironside: raises 710 to 2060 and is all-in matrix777: calls 710 and dik here is your 50p *** SHOW DOWN *** Ironside: shows [4c 4h] (a full house, Fours full of Fives) matrix777: shows [Js Jd] (a full house, Jacks full of Fives) matrix777 collected 12370 from pot and i wonder why i gave up playing MTTs Title: Re: small boat Post by: Colchester Kev on May 01, 2006, 03:11:32 AM Fish
