Title: A Busy day in London Town Post by: Indestructable on May 01, 2006, 10:56:36 AM Just had a read of Tikays article on the BlondePoker site. Very interesting stuff and don't think I would have the time and energy of Tikay, how does he do it?
Also must be the first time I have ever heard the poker expression "Bingo bango bongo" :D Title: Re: A Busy day in London Town Post by: tikay on May 01, 2006, 06:15:25 PM Thanks Indestructable. "Bingo Bango Bongo"? I stole it from an American commentary!
I just took a look at the article, as I'd not seen it since it was Uploaded, & had forgotten what I wrote. You MUST take a look, just to see the extraordinary picture of Monty Burns! (The lengths I go to to spam my writing, eh?). It's here..... http://www.blondepoker.com/index.php?q=node/2100 Title: Re: A Busy day in London Town Post by: Nakor on May 01, 2006, 07:27:14 PM A great read again Mr K.
I assume you are teasing 'us' again by inserting the line . . . "Eventually, Dave and I worked through our agenda, including date and location for bB3" Come on Share and Enjoy. But this is more fun. Title: Re: A Busy day in London Town Post by: tikay on May 01, 2006, 07:52:06 PM Come on then old boy give us a clue You talking to me? Seriously, I need to talk & consult with a few peeps before I say any more. But essentially, Dave & I agreed the "target" date, broadly, & the Geographical options. Now I need to chat with others, including those upon whose shoulders falls the task of organising everything. Bear with me please. The thing arose a few weks back, & the thread ran to 15 pages in about 2 days, so I thought I had better try & move it along. I guess I am my own worst enemy for mentioning it in the article, but I like to tell it how it is. I'm still not sure about this blog stuff, I do enjoy writing it, but it kinda puzzles me that anyone shouild be interested in the minuatiue of my life. I'll persevere for a while. Gets me into all sorts of trouble, too! Title: Re: A Busy day in London Town Post by: AndrewT on May 01, 2006, 08:01:37 PM I have to say I'm disappointed in you Tikay.
You get a lot of jokey stick on here for being an old man, which you casually dismiss through your incessant workrate. However, you then write that you got a tube from Marble Arch to Bond Street and back! For Pete's sake man, you're only walking from one side of Selfridges to the other - it's five minutes walk. Title: Re: A Busy day in London Town Post by: Newmanseye on May 01, 2006, 08:22:38 PM I like your blogs Tikay, They give a refreshing view from the pokerworld, most blogs tell us about how badly or how great they players played, where as yours gives us a grass roots insight in to the business that is Blonde poker, with a little touch on hob nobbing and rubbing shoulders with other poker pros giving another insight in to the lifestyle of " high rollers".
IMHO I hope you keep up your blog, its a great read and I for one would miss it. Cheers Billy Title: Re: A Busy day in London Town Post by: tikay on May 01, 2006, 09:44:30 PM I have to say I'm disappointed in you Tikay. I WOULD have walked if I'd known that! It did seem a short ride. And anyway, trains are nice. Any excuse to get on a train. I was fascinated by the Central Line Rolling Stock actually, but I'll save that for an article.
