Title: Little Poker Quiz
Post by: NoflopsHomer on May 04, 2006, 02:22:00 PM
I'm playing a game of NL hold'em and I'm holding a pair, I flop my set but there's already no way I can win the pot outright. What are my and my opponents' holdings?

 Td Jd Qd

Opponent has:  Kd Ad

You have:  Qc Qs

Right?

Oops, I should have mentioned not all the cards on the flop were of the same suit. Plus I said there was no way I could win the pot outright.

Opponent has  5c 5d

You have  Qh Qs

Flop  5h 5s Qd

I said flopped a set, not a full house, plus you have the case Q as an out.

You hold  Tc Th

Your opponents hold:  Qs Js and  Ad Ac

The board reads  Aspades Ks Td

Why, does there have to be a split pot potential? The question says he cannot win the pot outright.

The monkey has got it. The only split would be a running Q and J for a 3-way tie. Crafty monkey spotted the apostrophe after opponents meaning there was more than one.

This hand happened to me last night I held  Kd Kc vs  Ts Td vs  Ahrt Qh on  Kh Jh Tc board. Case  Th on the river.

Well done to the primate!  ;applause;

You're so clever, for a Monkey.
