Title: Did I do anything wrong?? Post by: Mr F on May 05, 2006, 09:03:19 PM Ok, just got in from an early evening pub session and decided to have a quick sng before I go out. Never normally post actual hand histories but got this and didn't know if I got the maximum amount of chips I could have from this hand.
Can you please advise how I could have done better. Thank you. Post by: doubleup on May 05, 2006, 10:24:04 PM As you didn't get called on the river you can assume that your opponents were on draws of some kind - if they called 40 on the flop they would probably have called the same amount on the turn as the pot is now a reasonable size, but you don't want to scare off a dead flush draw.
These situations are quite tricky on the river. You were probably a bit unlucky that no one hit a str8, but it might have been better to make a smaller bet in the hope that someone bluff raises. I tend to be happy that I pick up anything with these kind of hands - you have so much of the flop there isn't much left for anyone else. |
