Tighty, I watched the Omen about 6 months ago for the first time in about 20 years and was scared to death even at 35, a truly great horrror story.

Poltergeist for me.  I am still mentally scared by this movie. :D.   I watched it in the attic in 1987 when I was 7 years old. It is a freaky film.  Poltergeist 2 has the freaky devil bloke in it. He aint the kind of guy you want coming to your door selling toffees.

The 'Women in Black' is the scariest film ever made.  There is a bit where the ghosty type women floats above someone lying in bed. That still freaks me out.

Outstanding film.

I hope they don't cut it.  Last time it was on TV half the film was missing.

Also watched it when I was about 8 years old and didn't sleep for a week.

Surely you mean Eli Roth's Hostel?
American werewolf in London is ace, also on tonight was The Shootest (John Wayne's final film), American Beauty (love the humour) and This is Spinal Tap (so funny on so many levels).

Yep, saw this was on last night. I've got the DVD already, but this film is a classic. Great effects for its time, and intentionally hilarious at times also.

Great stuff.  :D

I think you have hit the nail on the head, this is a great horror film, that is very funny at times and is also a great love story and Jenny Aguter(sp).........wow. The first woman I ever fancied was Julie Andrews running down a hill in a habit in the Sound of music when I was about 10, I then saw this aged 12 and got a whole new interest in women.

only one film made me want to switch off

WOLF CREEK........ just so nasty, but utterly plausable.
It could and to be honest is happening right now.

And its the bits you don't see, like what happens to them after the film has ended.

I was only a young lad when i first saw this film.  I can honestly say that Jenny Aguter made an impression that lasted.  This was of course aided by her appearance in Logans Run'
