Bobby - Nothing to stop you posting evening before - and 12:00 ensures I get a couple of hours to note down peoples choices before those very few 14:00 kick offs at weekends, and thought we better have a standard time accross the whole comp. Obviously stage two predictions cant really be done until we know who the runners are (unless yuo want to be really meanand make people predict the lot)

I was thinking about this after his hat-trick - he needs Spain to make it to the semis but even so, he will be scoring our goals, although the system Luis uses benefits the other strikers, too. However Spain are not a side i can place much confidence in getting through the knock-out stages of the world cup and if they arent as dependent on Villa as Valencia are for goals then he may not get enough of Spains goals in the world cup to win the golden boot. I do agree with Guillem in that 6 or 7 will be the likely number that the winner will score - whether it is Villa that gets them only time will tell!! He has managed to get his international goal scoring record into double figures, which is good for someone who is still young however his strike rate is approx one goal every three international games.
At the world cup you need someone who is going to get you goals, plenty of them and quick - and of the two i think Villa would fit those criteria better than Torres.
