I feel compelled to add my thanks and congrats for what was a wonderful event yesterday. As always Tony and his happy band of moderators created a terrific event with a unique atmosphere. But if I may, I would like to add a few personal thank-you's to..... The staff and dealers at Grosvenor Walsall for the superb service, especially dealer Chris for the Kc Qc Jc Tc to go with my Ac & Rag for a Royal. Jim-D for taking the above beat so well. Thewy for sharing snippets of info and just being a great bloke. Ralph "Karabiner" for the lunchtime chinwag. Danafish for the best hair I have ever seen in a poker tourney. RichTighty for the encouragement when I got to the final. matt674, his monkeys, his outrageous 3d 9d bluff in the final......and for taking me out in 7th place (Cheers!) and to Simon Nowab for knowing it means for a novice like me to make a final.....and plenty of encouragement when I bounced out. Playing against the greats can only improve your game, and Simon is a true great. But when anyone asks me what I did at the weekend, I will say "I just went back to England and played a game of cards with some friends......152 of them!!!!"
