blonde poker forum

Doesn't anyone else wonder what's happened to frequent posters that just dissapear?

I tend to think that prominent members that inexplicably stop posting have either..

1)given professional online poker a go, gone bust and gone back to work

2)had internet access at their workplace removed

3)lost the will to live after the endless barrage of Tikay train related threads

I thought we could have a thread dedicated to the forgotten posters of blonde, the guys that have significantly contributed to blonde but been forgotten about in their absence

I'll kick off with these three guys, great posters but rarely seen:

Bundle
Stallyon
Glasgowbandit

Maybe if someone knows why a particular poster has left the forum they could shed some light on what's happend to them if they care to.

How many pages of members did you trawl through to work out these were your guys?

They were already in my mind.

Bundle was one of the biggest posters on here when i first joined and i've been wondering what happend to him for a while(plus his original avatar was blinding ;D)! stallyon always had some inappropriate joke ready at any given moment to offend someone with and that made me laugh and the bandit was the man that knew about greyhounds and liked a bet, thought he was a good guy.

I have read elsewhere that Stallyon has moved and had problems getting online and has just managed it so may be back soon.

Bandit won a 14 horse accumulator for £1,453,232 and now is on an island without internet access.

i see juniors dad quite alot,i will tell him to pass on your worries to the man himself.

Junior is just fine & hunky-dory. Sadly, however, he found a young Lady, fell in love, &, well, you guys know how it goes.

His Grandad, Geoff, remains a regular at games in the Midlands, & I bumped into him last week in Walsall.

Lee Hack is missing too, not seen him about for months now.

i have not seen Karabiner for a fortnight, I've PM'd & Texted him, but no reply as of yet.

Sadly, Ironside continues to post regularly. :(

I think Robert just burned himself out. I tried to contact him, as my fellow Mods have, on numerous occasions, no joy. He is much missed, but maybe he'll return when he's good & ready. I hope so.

still here monkey boy, just not spending much time online at the moment, too much time spent playing live. spent this afternoon in a star studded tourney whose entrants included Jen and Danafish. Tony G then showed up and proceeded to fleece all the London locals of their hard earned  heads up at omaha

hope the football picks up soon as it's getting a bit desperate now

matt, cupcake is a charlton fan too, lol its giving me great pleasure at the moment giving him some stick too.

Well well, gone but not forgotten! My Dad mentioned this thread to me and that rumour had it I had died or something.

So, where have I been? It is true, i did do a frosties advert... "there gonna taste great, there gonna taste great"... but unfortunately my religion does not permit me to endorse the peddling of horse meat so I had to turn down McDonalds :-)

Tikay sort of got it right, although it is work more than the girlfriend that is keeping me busy at the moment.... grrrrrrrrrrr!  I am playing a little on-line but not played live for a few months now. - I'll be back though just need to recruit a shed load of administrators, jointers and engineers in very little time and I'll again grace the felt with my weak-passive game.

Still alive and well.  Unfortunately getting less time as a student to surf t'internet than I did in full time employment.  PLus I have table tennis (Now a qualified coach!) and football teams and student commitments.  Plus I'm off to France at the end of this month for 5 months work placement in a watersports centre.

i feel the need to post after reading this thread,with regards to missing people.
very few people if any are aware that satcom [john] lost his partner in a tragic accident in thailand over christmas,
as i am sure you can all imagine,the whole incident left satty in a state of absolute shock.
With his daughter to look after it was no wonder he dropped out from the poker scene.


i have visited him several times in last few months,and on my last visit a few weeks ago he was looking better than i had seen him in a while,
although the last few months has really takens it toll on him.

satty is aware that i am posting this,i did ask him before hand,and i am sure hearing from old friends will give him a major boost.
With luck it nwont be long before he is back to his old self and back among the poker gang where he belongs.

That is just so awful, there are no right words at times like this but we here at Blonde can hopefully give you a bit of our strength in order to help you come to terms with your loss, i have no idea how , but hopefully by you slowly returning to the forum we may give a little light to a very dark tunnel. I can only echo what others have said, I hope time is kind and healing for you John.

God, I'm so sad to hear that about John.

Even though we haven't spoken for a bit, he's a great character who i've had some real good laughs with and someone I consider a real friend.

You'll struggle to find a more likeable or funny guy than satty and though no one deserves something like this, satty really doesn't.

Please send John the best until i get a chance to speak to him.

And, there is the chance that he just doesn't want to talk so respect that.

As suited Jock said, Bandit did hit an accumulator on Cheltenham for over a grand.  He can still be seen in Glasgow card rooms playing like a donk then donking his money off in roulette just to make a late night recovery to break even and he;s still the most drunken annoying player to play against in Glasgow(/Scotland???)

He threw his laptop against a wall after being rivered in a huge pot in an online cash game and broke it which is why he hasnt been online, apparently its now int he shop getting fixed and he will be back soon when he gets the laptop back.

Lappy is back in working order. I will get him to start dribbling his irrelevance asap.

I to dont know what to say , have met john and he really is a lovely down to earth bloke .
I'm afraid i cant put into words just how sad i feel for John and his little girl , but if you could send my love and deepest sympathies and i'm sure all who know him hope to see him when he feels up to it .

I always find at times like this where someone has lost a loved one, it's not what people say(its very difficult to put into words for most of us), its the fact that people do come on and post that is comforting.

To my knowledge i have never met this person, but like everybody else, my thoughts go out to you and your daughter Sir.

I have just read this post and am currently in a state of shock. I consider John one of my closest friends from the online community, he is one of the genuine good guys.
He has been through the mill and back and now for this to happen.

I don't want to ring him in case he doesn't feel like talking.  But if any of you get to speak to him please pass on our sincerest condolences to John & Olivia from myself & the wife.

Tips has duplicated almost exactly what I wanted to say. I was told of this thread this morning and was completely stunned.

I also regard John as one of the closest of my online / poker mates. I met him online on the old VC chat room  (remember those days!) and last saw him just before Xmas. He has been very supportive to me in the past when I have needed help and to hear about what has happened has left me without any adequate words.

My thoughts are wholly with you and Olivia - we have now spoken and I'll see you soon - If you need anything at all just ask!
