Two Interesting Hands from Tonights $2/$4 Table

Well, the first one isn't really that interesting but I wanted to set the scene with a thinly disguised bad beat. (I've never actually posted a bad beat in nearly 2 and a half years of playing by the way. :) )

The pre-flop play of fba-1001 and LawmakerDonk is questionable at best.

fba-1001's call of the all-in after all three players have called/raised his flop bet is abysmal.

Both of m1l2n's calls on the flop are terrible.

LawmakerDonk's flat call on the flop is terrible given the texture of the flop.

This hand is a great example of how profitable cash tables can be.

After the bad beat an hour earlier, I temporarily stopped being an atheist for the duration of the turn and river cards. It seemed to work. Amen

Why did you just shoot all in with the nuts in the second one for $380 more when theyd only bet $35 each.

Im not criticising coz youre very good with cash game hands, just wondered.

Id have thought a raise to around 110/120 wouldve been better?

V Unlucky on the first one.

Because the pot is already just shy of $200 (with my $35 flop call) so if I only charge $75-$85 more then that's pretty cheap for anyone on a draw or with a set to try and pair the board. And once one person calls, then it's even better value for the next potential caller. Also there are 19 scare cards that could hit!

Most importantly though, I was pretty certain that at least one player had hit a set, maybe two- and there are 10 scare cards for them (any 9, Q or A) and no-one will fold a set here if I push all-in.
