Title: My hand last night in the Cardiff 100 RB
Post by: guycoombs on March 02, 2007, 10:10:39 AM
Starting chips 5k. I'm up to about 16k on level 3 100 - 200. I'm dealer, everyone folds down to 5th position (8k, tight player) who rasies to 1000, I look down @  Qh Qs. I bet the pot. SB calls (15k aggressive player), BB folds and 5th calls.

 9d Jh Qc

SB rasies 3000, 5th folds.

I pushed all in, she took ages to call but she did, she had  Ks Kc

Turn  Ahrt River  Td

Did I make a bad play there?

I think i make the same play here.

Would be interesting to know what 5th position raiser had to mean he didn't connect with that flop. tight player raising to 5xBB then calling a pot sized raise. AA would have played on, KK is doubtful, JJ would have played on as would 99. TT would have an open ended straight so would probably call the flop bet. AK is a possibility as is AQ.

Any ideas what he laid down?

The other option would be to call the flop and then take it away from the SB when the A hits, but that is in hindsight and i think you played it the way i would have.

if you fold QQ there, then get up from the table leaving your chips, walk out the door and go home. Then delete all poker sites, articles, and pics off your computer. Then sell all your books, shirts, magazines about poker on ebay.

The only hand you are worried about is possibly TT as he has outs, (I am assuming KT would go in the muck preflop) but obv you want to get it all in.

Just unlucky
50p

Thanks guy's, funny how when you lose a hand even when you have played it correctly you question yourself that you should of done something diffrent.

Funny thing was, (I'm sure you've all been here) I knew my queens were beaten as soon as I saw the kings I just knew something bad was going to happen!

Your 50p's are in the post, in 2p and 1p's, raided my piggy bank after last night
