Good luck to all those who have been good enough to get this far in the tournament.

Personally (and absolutely no disrespect to the others) I feel that either Tony Bloom or Kiril Gerasimov would make worthy winners as they are both (imho) top class players and in particular Tony Bloom who spends more time on his phone than he does playing hands. Perhaps that's an omen and the secret to this game - not to try and play and win every hand like some I will not name;-)

Now let's see.........I will assume the blinds are 3000/6000 with a 300 ante which means it costs 11400 per round ........the average stack size is approx 100k so by my reckoning the avg stack has less than 9 rounds of play laft in them. This in reality equates to a standard raise followed by an all in move by anyone who cares to play a hand (calling doesn't seem like a real option for a fifth of your stack).

I sincerley hope the management will reward those remaining by dropping back a level or two to allow the players some leeway and encourage them to play.

Yes, those were the counts.  I saw a player heading for the Cut, as they're meant to be starting in a matter of minutes (10 or so).  We will tell you who's sat with whom as soon as we know.

The 'Unfinished Business' Tikay is talking about is the Gutshot Final, which he is in the process of winning - Good Luck At 4!!!

Paul King took him out calling his all-in on the  tc jh 4h flop with his pair beating the straight draw.

Henning Granstead and Mr. USA have been battling, sat next to each other as they are.  Henning moved all-in on the small blind and got called by Bensinger's  jd jc on the big blind.

The flop of  ad 3s ts suited him pretty well, though, and with no improvement, he's up to 170,000 ish.

Rolf and I promise full chip counts when they merge to two tables of 8, which should be fairly shortly.

Jeffrey Bensinger OUT in 15th - After Henning went all in for the zillionth time on the button, he re-raised all-in from the small blind, as you do with AA.

It turned out that not only did Henning have KK, he hit the K on the flop to knock out the American, who was very gracious in defeat, shaking everyone's hand and heading off with £7,000.

Dave Shallow OUT in 15th - after playing bravely all day, his  ad 7d raise all-in with a pretty short stack didn't do him any good when Mark Teltscher called him with AK.  £7,000 to him - sorry all you Dubai fans out there.

Having raised, he went all-in over the top of Jonas Helness who called his ks kc with  ad qs.

Both the Ace and Queen hit, though, sending Tony out with £7,000.  To his credit, totally unflappable when hitting a lucky card, or getting outdrawn.

And the Money Bubble approaches, with the money for ninth upwards heading skyward.

looks like the vikings are takiing over the vic.

bad news for the Norwegians - Henning Granstadt just took a huge hit calling Mark Teltscher's huge 200k+ preflop all-in overbet with AQ.  Mr T's 99 held up, and he's down to just 70,000 or thereabouts.  In contrast to Mr Bloom and Kiril Gerasimov, pretty even-tempered both, there was a bit of "YES!"ing, and then, reconsidering, perhaps, an "unlucky."

Where do you get your stamina from Jen? I get tired just reading these updates.

A very worrying grating noise is coming from the TV table's autoshuffle machine.  The producers are poking at it but there may be a dealer-shuffled table after all.  Looks like someone might have dropped something in it. 

Stamina comes from tea, and McDonald's nuggets which I allowed the gentlemanly Rolf to buy me for dinner.

So, totally squished in the back row of the spectator stands, Rolf has stood his ground after several attempts to dislodge us.  The word 'nitwit' may have been used.  We were here first, after all.  Looks like we're just about managing it, for now.  The press don't seem to be ruling with an iron fist here, but the TV organisers just aren't quite authoritative enough to banish us to the bar.  Yet.  Looks like we might have lost our Norwegian friends to the pressure of people crowding the limited stands and the severe laptop restraint (two between four different sites) but if there's a break we'll try to get him online.  Bring on the Wi-fi!

Hello to Noah's Mom and Dad who just called the lovely people next door to me on the bleachers to say they're following his progress!  Not surprised - after three days of Tournament we've got to the Final Table of the Grosvenor WOrld Masters.

We have Greg Raymer doing the announcing, which he does rather well...

Blinds are back to 4,000 - 8,000 and they're off!

Noah takes down the first pot with a button raise.  "The only guys he knows in the country" to my left look happy...

Paul takes the next one from the small blind - Mark passes.

Then Jonas raises to 24,000 picking up Mark and Graham's blinds... looks like there's going to be quite a lot of this, at least at first.

Graham and Kiril see a flop! excitement...

There are three large monitors set up around the table which is on a kind of black, shiny stage ringed with blue light, for those of you who haven't been in the presence of a TV table before.

Noah just took down a little over 100,000 flat calling Graham's mid-position minimum raise with  qc ah on the button and extracting 25,000 on the turn (an A).

Here's hoping Graham recovers from that!

Lateish position Noah raises, only to find Jonas on his left re-raising to 72,000.  After a fair dwell, he passes.

Greg Raymer is a genuinely good announcer, patient and good natured.  Earlier he went for interviews and seems eternally patient with the chatters.  Great guy.

Woody has rejoined the press corner and tells me that Jonas is only 18 years old!  A very calm and patient player, I think he's made some great moves in this tournament without getting worked up even once.  Perhaps he has been watching Kiril, sat at this time directly opposite him...

Paul King just raised to 30,000 in early position, taking down a set of blinds.  There appear to be no antes at this point, so it's 12,000 a pop for getting those.

The very next hand, Paul raises Jonas, and then takes down the 60,000ish in the pot on the A-high flop.

Jonas just faced a tough decision - having seen a  4s 9c qc flop, he faced a 100,000 check-raise raise from Mark Teltscher, which he eventually called.
The turn brought the  4c, and this time Mark bet out 150,000 which sat there in the middle of the table being filmed while Jonas thought for a long time and passed, to cheering from Mark's Supporters.

Kiril Gerasimov raises all-in for 55,000 and receives a call from initial raiser Graham (who has to call 30,000) as he had too little left to fold.

Mark raised from middle position, and Dale Greenleaf called in the big blind, seeing the flop of ah ks 7d.  Dale checked, Mark bet 35k, and Dale raised all-in for 117k more, winning the pot there and then.

Graham calls his last 8,000 all-in with  7d 4d

Jonas (the raiser) sees the flop too with  4s 4h

Flop:  5d tc 6c, then the  3h to double up Graham.  Player quote:  "I'm a danger now!"

Paul King goes on the tear now, taking two pots in a row.  The first was a four-way surprise limpathon (including, oddly, Graham and Noah).  On the  9s 7c 2s flop, his medium sized bet pushed everyone else out and his mate in the audience gave him the rubdown anyway, saying, "Scare 'em with mediocrity!"  To which he replied, "Medi-what?"

Yes, Kiril's AA were no match for the flopped straight of Jonas (5 6 on a 7 8 9 board) and he took fifth place and £24,290 (I think).

Jonas just took a huge dent at the hands of Noah, however, having got it all-in with two pair on the flop (Jacks and Tens) against Noah's Jacks with a Q kicker.  The Q on the river handed Noah about a MILLION chips and the clear lead.

Anyone else vote for Jen to ditch the Vic and race to the Gutshot?

Having held onto a rather tiny stack for a while, his move on Mark Teltscher with 48,000 was called by AK.  Holding K 3 he was not in great shape, and the board failed to bring any help.  Congratulations Paul - looks like he's off for a well-earned drink.

He check-raised all-in the quiet Norwegian Jonas Helness on a flop of  js 4d 5d.

Hi Norak - we have a couple of shots of Mark Teltscher on the camera, taken by the skillful Eddy, but we're going to have to wait until it's all over to upload as we are crammed like sardines in this area and there's no fishing for cables.  Barely breathing.

They're off and playing with the chips almost completely even.

The hand which sealed the deal involved a flop of  qd 2d  6s.  A bet from Mark of 50,000 was raised by Jonas on the button to 180k, with a call.

The turn card:  jc - and here's where it all took off, getting both enormous stacks all-in.

Mark showed  jd jc, Jonas  kd 4d  With just 7 outs, it was perhaps unsurprising that the river was a blank and Mark's slight chip lead gave him the victory.

Jonas is just 18 years old, but it looks like he's just been biding his time to take on the world of tournament poker.  Calm and considering, I was very surprised to find out his age and that this is his first big tournament.

As for Mark, Rolf ran into him in the loos and he admitted that he barely plays once in six months!  Quite a pricey recreational tournament, then.  But he won it, so who cares?  He says in his interview that he was "very confident" when he came to the final, and his row of friends I am sure have supported him and he's taking them out to dinner now to say Thanks.  He also says that he wants to keep poker as a hobby as it's very addictive, so you'll probably only be seeing him on the circuit "two or three times a year."  Goodness.

Rhowena is interviewing a deadpan Jonas, and here comes the man of the minute Mr. Kendall, doubtless to start working instead of having a night off like he deserves.
