  This may look like a disguised bad beat story but I honestly think I have a decision on the river for the paltry amount of chips I have left. There is the serial folder who's trying to fold into the money so.... What do you do?

 Can I fold for my 140 and see what happens on the next hand, despite being sure he has the Q?

Why bet 450 and leave 140 left in your stack?

Beyond that, there's nothing to discuss - you CANNOT fold for 140 on the end of this one.

two ways to play it, depending if ur goal is to cash or to win.
allin flop if u determine cashing the most important
slower play (like u did) if you want to snare the chip leader and go for the win.

either way all the money goes in the middle this hand, and impossible for you to escape his lucky river

The point is, he bets 750 on the flop. You have 2840 left. Why bet 2250 of it (a standard 3x raise) and leave the rest? It looks more like you have a monster than if you just blasted all-in.

Blast the flop. He calls almost drawing dead, and then spawns runner-runner... you curse and scream and boot up another $22.

  I think that was a misclick, as it were, sliding the bar all the way up not *quite* to the all-in mark. Not that it really would have mattered becaue he's probably insta-calling here with AQ unless he somehow puts me on a 4 and a brave play on the flop.

  So what about this - I am 100% sure he has the Q on the river (he flips his cards or something, say) and he takes me in for the next 140.
 
    In this situation CAN you fold? As I would be all-in on the BB next hand, with a chance of quadrupling up if everyone calls and I get lucky, is this even a possible play instead of knowingly throwing the last pennies in?

  As it was I called on the remote chance he was playing a 4 or KK horribly.

  I also agree a shove on the flop may well have been the safer option.

On the River: It is by no means certain that he has a Q. He might have AA or KK and been playing it tricky, or he might have JJ or TT and simply not believed you when you raised the flop. I have seen plenty of players at the $20s play this way. on the end, I have even seen people flip A-K i.e. playing the board's two pair with ace kicker. Some people get a little crazy when they get a big stack of chips, they do things they ordinarily wouldn't because they know they can't be knocked out.

Plus, there's always the chance he had a four in his hand, which you're beating.

You can't be 100% sure he has the queen, and you mustn't fold for the 140.

I wouldn't make it so much preflop i like 450 or 400 here.

Lead the flop and get it in there. Don't misclick the turn, lol. Call the river and curse.

look at the stack sizes. this is a fold preflop for me. why are you building a pot when you are 3rd in chips on the bubble with a dangerous hand?! unless you are against 3 rocks this is never a raise or a call.
