Of course, his opponent had Aces and swiftly doubled up.
Title: Re: Grand Prix De Paris: Day 1 - At A Glance Post by: snoopy1239 on May 06, 2007, 04:49:04 PM Breaktime news from Mr Colclough, but don't get too excited...
"I'm on 20,700, played just the one pot, calling a small raise with K-Q and then check-calling A Queen high flop and a blank Turn, before checking it down on the end to win the pot. I think he gave me around 1,500 in total." Title: Re: Grand Prix De Paris: Day 1 - At A Glance Post by: snoopy1239 on May 06, 2007, 05:10:27 PM Down to 65, Jon Poujade the latest Lemming to fall.
Title: Re: Grand Prix De Paris: Day 1 - At A Glance Post by: snoopy1239 on May 06, 2007, 05:37:00 PM Not too much action at the moment, as you'd expect from a 20k event with 68 players on Day 1, the last half decent pot I caught sight of being one that Warsaw EPT runner-up Farid Meraghni took down with a 4k bet on a Ks 4c 8c 2s. However, I did get a snap of Copenhagen EPT 2006 Champ Mads Andersen (cough). And just as I'm moaning about the lack of breath-taking non-stop action (my wrists shall be slapped), I stumble upon a sudden exit. As I trundled over innocently to Table 6, I had a feeling something was about to go down when I spotted 4k in the pot and the dealer announcing '4 handed pot (although in French) as he dealt out the Kd Tc 4s Flop. Shaoul Derdugo checks, Gilbert Chahine checks, Nouel Antoine bets 1k and Xavier Laszc fold. Then, out of the blue like a tikay pot scoop, Dedugo made it 3k, Antoine pushed all-in and Dedugo called without hesitation. Dedugo = Kh Th Antoine = Kd Kc Turn = Jh River = Qc Title: Re: Grand Prix De Paris: Day 1 - At A Glance Post by: snoopy1239 on May 06, 2007, 05:44:10 PM Not too much action at the moment, as you'd expect from a 20k event with 68 players on Day 1, the last half decent pot I caught sight of being one that Warsaw EPT runner-up Farid Meraghni took down with a 4k bet on a Ks 4c 8c 2s. Dave Colclough -- 29k Marc Goodwin -- 22k John Kabbaj -- 29k Title: Re: Grand Prix De Paris: Day 1 - At A Glance Post by: snoopy1239 on May 06, 2007, 08:56:41 PM Table Goodwin:
Csaba Kuremszki -- 20,425 Z Illia -- 39,550 Jan Boye -- 17,050 Mateyboy -- 24,350 Walid Bouhabib -- 22,550 PP Ruscalla -- 31,875 Jonas Molander -- 6,250 Table Kabbaj: Jean Noel Thurel -- 17,050 Antonius Gueorguieu -- 37,825 Tony Cascarino -- 18,800 John Kabbaj -- 9,000 James Campbell -- 14,650 Nichlas Saarisilta -- 12,500 Jani Sointua -- 3,200 Mateyboy -- 19,975 Johan Storakers -- 19,325 As I was acculmulating chip counts, John Kabbaj dropped down to that paltry 9k at the hands of Seat 2, Antonius Gueorguieu (boy, that's a lot of vowels!). Pretty standard to be honest... John = Ahrt Aspades Antonius = Qd Qc Flop = Th Qh 7h Antonius bet 1.8k, John made it 5k, Antonius pushed for 12,850 more and John called, albeit hesitantly and half-aware that he'd probably had to catch. Turn = 3d River = 6s Title: Re: Grand Prix De Paris: Day 1 - At A Glance Post by: snoopy1239 on May 06, 2007, 09:18:48 PM Meanwhile, Jared Davis, who I believe could be an American player, has just seen his chips go sailing over to Maurice Atlani. Didn't quite see how it panned out, but when I joined the board read 7s 3s Kh 9s Ts and Maurice had As Kd to Jared's Ks Qs.
Jared, who's now down to just 4.8k as a result, looked pretty pissed off, so I'm guessing all the spondoolies went in before that testical crushing River. Title: Re: Grand Prix De Paris: Day 1 - At A Glance Post by: snoopy1239 on May 06, 2007, 09:29:28 PM Tony Cascarino is down to 4.7k.
Flop = Jd 9s 4s Tony checked, Jean bet 2k, Tony made it 7k, Jean pushed for another 5k Jean Noel Thorel = Th 4h Tony Cascarino = Ks Qs Turn = 6c River = 4c Title: Re: Grand Prix De Paris: Day 1 - At A Glance Post by: snoopy1239 on May 06, 2007, 09:35:23 PM Table Colclough:
Mads Andersen -- 22,275 Samir Shkhtoor -- 21,275 Istuan Pelyhe -- 34,700 Karim Salamouni -- 10,600 Eli Marciano -- 18,275 Travis Paquette -- 21,850 Francois Guillaume -- 23,075 Dave Colclough -- 15,600 Others: Alexander Kuzmin -- 58,150 Jeff Lisandro -- 27,325 Daniel Donnabedian -- 16,400 Title: Re: Grand Prix De Paris: Day 1 - At A Glance Post by: snoopy1239 on May 06, 2007, 09:58:59 PM Maurice Atlani is OUT, snipered down by WSOP do very weller Jeff Lisandro.
Down to 57. Title: Re: Grand Prix De Paris: Day 1 - At A Glance Post by: snoopy1239 on May 06, 2007, 10:05:51 PM Some more chip counts:
Farid Meraghni -- 22,900 Turgut Guner -- 17,550 Brad Lipson -- 18,800 Xavier Laszca -- 14,625 Ryad Abour -- 44,825 Nouel Antoine -- 55,750 Brian Johnson -- 13,650 Lukesz Sonek -- 18,100 Kalil Rahal -- 23,975 Michel Akrich -- 22,375 Guillaume Jean Charles is OUT. Title: Re: Grand Prix De Paris: Day 1 - At A Glance Post by: snoopy1239 on May 06, 2007, 11:05:46 PM A few chip counts that our viewers might be following:
Francois Coudert -- 13,025 Brian Johnson -- 24,300 Brad Lipson -- 23,200 Nichlas Saarilsta -- 15,875 Dave Colclough -- 21,100 Tony Cascarino -- 2,925 John Kabbaj -- 15,500 Jonas Molander -- 4,850 Marc Goodwin -- 46,750 Title: Re: Grand Prix De Paris: Day 1 - At A Glance Post by: snoopy1239 on May 06, 2007, 11:18:41 PM Jonas Molander has been eliminated.
Jani Sointula has also departed. Didn't catch the hand, but he was shortstacked for most of the day and failed to recover. Title: Re: Grand Prix De Paris: Day 1 - At A Glance Post by: snoopy1239 on May 07, 2007, 12:04:13 AM PP Ruscalla has doubled up courtesy off Jan Boye.
Boye bet 4k into a Flop of 8s 7c Tc and Ruscalla moved all-in over the top for 25,500 more, albeit after a slight bout of Oscaritus. Boye called instantly, leaving him with just 5k, but was dismayed to see his Queens in deep doo doo against Ruscalla's set of Tens. 7h Turn and 7d River left a couple of people wondering if the Queens has won, but the dealer quickly assured them that Tens over Sevens was the winner. Title: Re: Grand Prix De Paris: Day 1 - At A Glance Post by: snoopy1239 on May 07, 2007, 12:10:20 AM Moments before that hand...
As we move into the last break of the day, Mr Cool has lost his er... cool, after Jan Boye managed to get 3.5k in pre-flop with A-9 against Marc's A-K, only for the Flop to come A-9-8 and Marc to do 26k to someone who I Marc probably deems to be a bit of a plonker in poker terms. As a result, Marc has dropped from 66k to 40k. Title: Re: Grand Prix De Paris: Day 1 - At A Glance Post by: snoopy1239 on May 07, 2007, 12:32:53 AM Dave Colclough -- 26,100
Eli Marciano -- 16,225 Travis Paquette -- 15,725 K Rabtsov -- 61,450 Karim Salamouni -- 9,925 Mads Andersen -- 30,900 Samir Shakhtoor -- 28,375 Istuan Pelyhe -- 22,825 Johan Storakers-- 24,350 Nichlas Saarisilta -- 39,750 Alexander Kuzmin -- 53,500 Csaba Kuremszki -- 49,375 Z Illia -- 5,600 Jan Boye -- 7,175 Walid Bouhabib -- 13,225 Jane Lauri Lamsa -- 37550 Marc Goodwin -- 40,075 PP Ruscalla -- 41,85- Tony Cascarino -- out John Kabbaj -- 18,200 Jean Noel Thorel -- 16,375 Atanas Gueorguieu -- 42,500 Title: Re: Grand Prix De Paris: Day 1 - At A Glance Post by: snoopy1239 on May 07, 2007, 12:35:04 AM Shortstacked Jan Roye (A-Qs) has doubled up in a three-way pot against PP Roscalla (A-Q) and Marc Goodwin (A-K). The board was Ace high with two diamonds, a diamond on the River giving Roye a flush... and he made sure that we all heard about it by celebrating at the top of his voice with one hell of a squeal.
--------------- Thomas Belleuvre has doubled up Mateyboy in Seat 10 with Jacks v Aces on a 9h 3h 2h Flop. Neither had a heart, Belleuvre now hacked back down to 22,100. Title: Re: Grand Prix De Paris: Day 1 - At A Glance Post by: snoopy1239 on May 07, 2007, 12:58:16 AM Brad Lipson -- 14,225
Tor Gammelgard -- 28,850 Nouel Antoine -- 49,750 Daniel Shak -- 14,350 Jason Lee -- 37,775 Michel Akrich -- 21,425 Ryad Abour -- 62,300 Thomas Belleuvre -- 22,100 Brian Johnson -- 8,150 Francois Coudert -- 13,375 Lukesz Sonek -- 32,250 Kalil Rahal -- 13,125 Fabien Zanzouri -- 22,400 Turgut Guner -- 14,325 Jeff Lisandro -- 34,500 Francois Demoly -- 18,600 Daniel Donnabedian -- 14,575 Paul Testud -- 37,300 Gilbert Chahine -- 39,475 A quick scour of the room informs me that somewhere along the way we have lost Xavier Laszcz, Karim Salomouni, Jean Noel Thorel and James Campbell. Title: Re: Grand Prix De Paris: Day 1 - At A Glance Post by: snoopy1239 on May 07, 2007, 01:07:38 AM Marc Goodwin is down to a rather sorrowful 4k after running Kings into Aces.
The 6-J-Q-Q-T rainbow board proving of no help. Whilst Marc retells his tales of woe from previous hands, Samir Shakhtoor scoops in a nice pot. ----------- Daniel Donnabedian has also doubled up with bullets, finding himself even better shape against wooly red jumper wearing Csaba Kuremszki's Big Slick. Again, a near safe board, Jh 5d Qs 3h 7c, a Ten the only out. Title: Re: Grand Prix De Paris: Day 1 - At A Glance Post by: snoopy1239 on May 07, 2007, 01:19:48 AM A quick glance back at MrCool's stack informs me that he is had jumped the first hurdle of his comeback trail, now back up to 9.5k..
Title: Re: Grand Prix De Paris: Day 1 - At A Glance Post by: snoopy1239 on May 07, 2007, 01:41:19 AM Brian Johnson has near trebled up, all-in with an open ended straight draw on the following flop...
7d Js Th Brian Johnson = Kd Qh Francois Courdert = Ad Kh Jan Boye = Qd Jh "Give him his Ace, dealer," demands Brian. Bosh Turn = Ac River = Td Brian survives, Courdert exits. Title: Re: Grand Prix De Paris: Day 1 - At A Glance Post by: snoopy1239 on May 07, 2007, 01:47:52 AM As we head into the last five minutes, it appears as though the following five players will be your end of day chip leaders:
(1) Nicolas Evdakov -- 71,750 (2) Ryad Abour -- 64,625 (3) K Rabstov -- 62,050 (4) Nasrodin Pirmamod -- 60,475 (5) Alexander Kasmin -- 56,300 Title: Re: Grand Prix De Paris: Day 1 - At A Glance Post by: snoopy1239 on May 07, 2007, 02:12:06 AM Seeing as an official chip count is unlikely at this point, I quickly nipped in to jot down as many chip counts from bags as I could. this is what I came up with, just the few missing I think (hope ;pokergods;)
