Title: Breakfast. Tell me what I'm missing...
Post by: TightEnd on October 10, 2005, 09:34:50 AM
I love breakfast, but I'm abstaining...

trying to lose some weight, so it's a bowl of Jordan's fruit and nut muesli for me every morning. Horrible, but a bit of self discipline won't hurt me that much

a salad for lunch

white meat or fish with veg in the evening

you know the score....  :-[

anyway, seeing as I am unable to get myself that gorgeous bacon roll now tell me

what breakfast do you start your day with?

When I was a bad girl, it used to be a Marlboro Light and a can of Red Bull (but I gave both of these things up)

Nowadays it's Porridge or Honey on toast  :P

Fag and Cappucino for me I'm afraid - in that order.

I try not to eat anything till lunch, and then it's either a pasty or a sarnie.

When I get home it's usually a packet of crisps for tea.

The 20 cigs and as many cups of tea or coffee is what he has.  He saves the Brown Ale to go on his cornflakes  ~:

Cigarette and a cuppa for me, don't ever seem to have time breakfast.

Get this for multi-tasking...

Saturday was a pretty normal but busy saturday for me, but I had to "count to ten" after this. I was in the kitchen cooking dinner, putting more washing on, ironing the school uniforms and cleaning the cupboards out, when I asked James if he was still playing so as I could put dinner out (after being sat on sofa playing all afternoon) he said...... "It's ok, I can multi-task"

 ???

Well obviously it depends on where you are as to what Brekkie you have!

Brekkie in Vegas is generally eaten at 4.20am, before you go to bed, consisting of ham n eggs, toast, hash browns, bacon, coffee. $2.99 at the Bay City Diner downtown, that's if I am with the other half. If I am with me mum its Eggs Benedict at the Golden Nugget Buffet at 7am, with loads of croissants, some salad (cause I can), and lashings of rootbeer and coffee.

If I am at home I can't bear the thought of brekkie first thing, especially before a trip on the crowded stinky tube (vom!), so I make a sarnie and take it with me. Usually ham and cheese.

Oh dear I am on a Vegas turn this afternoon.

Black Americano and a cinamon danish if I'm at work
Quite enjoy scrambled eggs on toast with smoked salmon if I'm feeling it for a full-on breakfast on a day off - always a strong, black Americano

Most days I have four lightly crushed Weetabix, (actually wheat bixies from Lidl, exactly the same but half the price)

Three dessert spoons of Greek yoghurt.

Half a cup of dark sweet cherries.

One dessert spoon each of peanuts, chopped almonds and mixed seeds.

Top with a nana.

PS- I would have included a pic of my mug of tea but it was still brewing.

Note: STILL BREWING.

Breakfast looks healthy Red-Dog but Wheat Bixies & nana big hitters on glycemic index. Cherries not great but will allow.

If you just had the yogurt, nuts & seeds you could enjoy about 15 teaspoons of sugar in that tea instead.

Now that scrambled egg, salmon and black coffee option is solid gold.
